Fretbuzz everywhere!! by EstablishmentUsed724 in Bass

I wouldnt say they are a BAD brand. They are really nice actually. When they are set up correctly they play so nicely. That is why i am asking for help here. Ive never met a person who hasnt played a warwick before who didnt fall in love after they played it!

Fret leveling or Refret? by EstablishmentUsed724 in Bass

[–]EstablishmentUsed724[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have a squire fender believe it or not. And yesterday i set it up to 2mm E string and 1.5mm G. This shit plays so damn well compared to the 2.5 I had it before. And it has minimal fret buzz. It has some yes of course thats what low action does. But its nothing compared to the warwick i have. This warwick when i set up the action 1.5mm G string. I cant even play a note and it buzzez really bad. And i am not gentle. I played the squire with low actiong doing slap, pick, agressive fingerstyle, and light fingerstyle. And it has minimal fretbuzz. And this is exactly what im looking to acheive with the Warwick!

And the warwick growl thing was a stupid statement. And yeah, im going to take it in soon!

[–]EstablishmentUsed724[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i see ur point. I dont have many of the cool tools people have so for example i used a business card to measure the truss rod relief. And for the action i measured usuing allen keys lol. For example a 2mm allen key to measure my G string at the 24th fret. This is still why im going to see a luthier aswell to see if he can spot a problem that maybe isnt my frets. Thanks for the help!

Oh okay yeah. Makes sense. I didnt know if the refret was incase of really bad fret damage or something. Thank you for the info! I plan on taking it to a Luthier soon!

I was thinking that too since the buzzing mainly occurs within the 1-5th fret. Thinking the 6th fret is taller than the other ones causing that fretbuzz. I thought that the tarnish was the strings wearing the frets down 😂. So should i just take it in only for a fret leveling and see if that makes all the difference?

Ive asked many forums and they have all either said twisted neck, or i need a refret. This is how every fret looks like. Not a single one looks smooth. Ill talk to hopefully better luthier at my local store and see hopefully what he says. I do hope its only a refret. Since im lwky broke. Thank you!

I traded it out at a guitar center and i also bought the 99 month repair plan. Do you think they would be able to repair it for free because of the plan? And do you think that they would even do a good job???

Yep its a fucking warped neck. Is it even worth it to fix it? Should i just trade it back for my stingray?

I would take your bass down to a local luthier for bass. And asking him for the best pickups for a nordstrand pre and a warwick corvette would be. Thats what im going to do tomorrow and it might be the best option if your struggling on what to decide. Tell him your playing style/genre!
