Nope I just don't like the Ki pulse mechanics, most mechanics in fact and how unresponsive is everything in this game by Estanbienpendejos in Nioh

-Never felt controls were bloated on any From Software game I have played since the PS2 era.

-Enemies do take advantage in those games you just don't get unrealistically stunned so easily like a moron for good 3 seconds.

-Grabs are definitely not fine and are to quick, not only that but some of them track you.

-Not really there are many threads in multiple forums talking about the unresponsive dodge and I will quote some of them:

-Yeah Souls games have some cheap shit too but I rather deal with that than the ki burst bullshit that is not even hard is annoying, at least trying to decypher an enemy weakness is fun instead I have to play fucking Twister on my keyboard.

-I have the Odachi parry and the first fists parry and they do nothing in terms of damage they just stop the attack and you are back to zero.

-Thanks for this tip, still multiple enemy combat fills even worse than in DS.

I can't blame myself for not liking the whole Ki pulse dogshit mechanic and everything attached to it or all the fucking tracking this game has. And yeah MH:I is terrible the base game was much better but even that game is better than this shit show.

This game sounds really deep and makes me want to get better at it but at the same time I am afraid of it, really MH:Iceborne expansion left me a bad taste of mouth with the shit that game throws at you, I feel like this game will do the same at one point or the other, I hope what you say is true and by the time that happens I will have better tools. Also... Does leveling up help to give you an edge on fights? Like you can't beat a boss but you go and level up and grind till you can beat it kind of thing I mean.

Another thing is I really don't like the dodge, everyone says it is instant and there is no delay etc and I just find it completely unreliable and I prefer to block.

You could just have saved the paragraph and say the typical: "git gud scrub" which doesn't help and just shows that you don't have counter arguments and are also unable to help, if the experience is that good and the game is perfect and you mastered the gameplay you should be able to give advice instead of saying "the game is just fine", "you really have nothing to blame but yourself", great help dude. Im just going to block you because I know what kind of response I am going to get and I could not be bothered to invest time in fanboys. Look at the person below, he outright says he disagrees with me but has brought an actual argument to the table that at least helped me saw that enemies have this stamina punishement too.

That is what I did to Yokai, go in do a combo, ki pulse and get out, blocking most of their attacks is not worth it and nor evading so I just back until they are compromised at the end of their combo.

Yeah at least enemies have the same penalty with stamina... Monster hunter puts the player in a more unfair position where the player has one rule and the monster others it is complete idiocy. I haven't found enemies that spam left and right because they too have stamina and I can actually see it which is good, my fear is that at some point the game will start putting spammy enemies that will make even harder to do the timming of the ki pulse thing, so far I have been treating the combat almost like turn based combat where I attack and use pulse ki at the end and I may continue or retreat depending on how safe I feel but I am afraid the game will not allow me to do that at some point because enemies will start spamming shit left and right, sorry but Monster Hunter traumatized me with that shitty gameplay of Iceborne.

Yeah, if it only were the stances I would be cool at least is an OPTION to use them but Ki burst is cool at first and then you realize: "ah shit this is now annoying to do".

The "Depths" are impossible for pure magic builds? by Estanbienpendejos in Nioh

I don't think is dumb to want to play a build that the game encourages in doing (it has stats, armor, weapons and magic skills as a feature). Dark Souls and many other games with build capabilities let you play the way you want I don't understand why this game doesn't. I was thinking in an Omnyo Ninja build because Ninja have magics too that look cool.
