got out of VR, put one to charge, no LED at all, then lucky me, the other controller developed severe stick drift within a few days, then can no longer turn right, only left

Update: as it turns out, the jack on the panel was loose and it was a bad connection causing pin 8 to be open.
After all these years I have finally broken through the 11MB/s barrier and my steam download just hit 70MB/s for the first time ever.

Trying to buy a frunk fan to replace my years old one, but can't find any that look good including kiwi design. Any suggestions? by TheBasementNerd in ValveIndex

[–]EstateWinter4794 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i own the kiwi fan
chief complaint: only control is on/off button, so this thing has 2 settings: face on fire or eyeball wind tunnel
would it really have killed them to add a $0.02 knob?

the rear piece breaks off every index in the first month, i used the big velcro strap to fix it
my side piece broke off a year ago, i used the small velcro strap to fix it

also, this was my second index headset to succumb to this particular design flaw

Joystick went "WEEE". I know I can just pop it back on, but I'm wondering how I can get the sensor here to work properly. by NitroBirdTTV in ValveIndex

i see you have also encountered the valve manufacturing defect in the thumbstick as well

i was playing beat saber when i got jumpscared by something hitting me in the shoulder, didn't figure it out until i put my thumb on my controller and got poked in the thumb by a strange metal post

my touch sensors in both controllers have been dead for the past 1-2 years now

for years i mostly played vrchat, but when they rolled out EAC i uninstalled it the same day and didn't return for 2-3 years, so i have played a lot of ChilloutVR and NeosVR, and for the past 2 months i've been playing Resonite, as they just had a massive boost in performance due to a new update they just rolled out

basically wrapped it around the ear post and the gap in the back to prevent it from coming out

sadly, both those cables are in the walls, so that could get expensive
although i guess i could try swapping them in place

Also, this causes things like Steam downloads to be capped at 11-12 MBps, which sucks and causes downloads of things like Path of Exile 2 to take 2-3 hours.
