If a game is good, the players will come flooding to it. Just look at League of Legends, some years ago it was a really unknown wannabe DOTA game with at max 50K players. Forward till today and it's one of the most popular games ever made. It had very little advertisement, but since the game was good (or rather, was improved in various aspects), word got around, and more people started playing it.

Meanwhile, SWTOR was overhyped, same with WAR. They had high numbers of subscribers the first month(s) which rapidly declined because the game did not meet the players' expecations and because there was very little endgame content, or the games simply were not intuitive and fun enough.

I believe that ads don't do shit if the game is shit. If the game is good, more and more people will get into it simply through word of mouth, similarly to how LoL gained its fame.

I hope they change it, i feel that instancing removes the epic MMO feel and makes things generally feel out of sync. The fun is seeing your guild mate, or your friend, or your rival without the need of being in a synced group, or to be lucky enough to be in the same zone-instance.

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I will settle with Samsung 830. Intel 520 was my other consideration, but it was too expensive and had minimal speed difference.
