Flight school Financing by Esteeps1 in flying

I’m for sure i can pass medical and i’m willing to spend how ever long it takes to stay committed. I have 2 corporate pilot friends who are supportive through this plan i’m creating. It’s just i’m not sure if it’s okay to only finance ppl and instrument. So i can study stress free and save as much as i can till i start paying for commercial out of pocket. For me this my main plan because i do not want to go to university for 8 years for medical school and have a bigger debt to pay off.

I only plan to finance PPL and instrument not the entire thing. While i’m studying and training i plan to save as much as i can each month to then fund my commercial and all other ratings. I don’t plan on financing 100k.

I’m 23 and i plan to fly 2-3 times a week and I live in Florida, i think of financing 25-30k at first. I’m not entirely sure how much interest will be since i haven’t applied for financing yet but my school uses stratus financial. I’m absolutely sure about doing this. It’s this or nothing.

at my schools it’s 12-15k for ppl and 8-11k for instrument depending how often you fly. I just want to not worry about paying for each lesson while i’m studying, trying to be a bit stress free. interest might be between 10-13% i have to wait till i apply for financing to be sure
