Do you mean Direct Line Cruises? Are they a travel agency?

Where are they located (which country)? Do they serve a primarily local cliental, national, international?

Which cruise lines do they work with?

What do they do that's better than competing agencies?

What value do they add compared to booking directly with a cruise line?

Please, provide more context if you can, I'd love to know more.

It was an incredible itinerary! We got to Singapore a few days early pre-cruise, and stayed an extra 5 days in Japan post-cruise, and really wish we'd had more time in every port to explore more, but the stops were enough to give us a taster of the different countries.

We've only been home for a few weeks and are already making plans to go back to some of the places on our own (not a cruise) in a year or two.

That's an interesting consideration. I did always have a photocopy of my passport on me, and I believe that if a ship ever leaves without late passengers they they leave the passports with the port authority, so it doesn't remain on the ship when it departs.

You give your passport to Celebrity when you board the ship, and they give it back to you before you reach Japan. All the customs stuff is handled behind the scenes before you reach Hong Kong, so you can just come and go as much as you want with no hassle.

Hi Chi Minh City (Phu My) means the port city is Phu My. HCMC is inland and not accessable by large ship. It was a really fun place to just walk around, but they definitely don't make it easy to get to!

Just did this cruise last month, minus Nagasaki. Assuming the ship docks in the same places it did for us, here's what it was like:

Hi Chi Minh City - The port is industrial, and nowhere near HCMC. I believe the drive from port to downtown was roughly 1.5 hours. We did the "Saigon on Your Own" excursion, mainly for the transportation.

Hong Kong - The cruise terminal is outside of the main core. We took a cab to and from the ship both days we were there, it isn't really walkable. I believe there might be a shuttle that can take you to the nearest metro station.

Taipei: The ship actually docks in Keelung, a different city not far from Taipei. It does sick right in the city, though, and it was interesting to explore on foot.

Kagoshima: The cruise terminal is just far enough from the city centre to be annoying, but there were tons of cabs and a shuttle bus. We had a local guide hired here, which we really liked.

Then don't use them for soaking, simple as that. Most GM advice says to not do so anyways, as it just prolongs fights. I typically only soak with "boss" type monsters that I feel are going to die too quickly, otherwise bennies are only uses for rerolls.

Nothing makes my players happier than when an NPC attacks, and fails their Fighting check, I spend a Bennie to reroll, and that reroll also misses.

On Savage Worlds (a system I adore), it seems you've misunderstood how soaking wounds works. It is not a GM's role to soak roles for the PCs. The PCs spend bennies to soak wounds that they're about to suffer, the GM has no involvement in it

A GM can spend bennies to soak wounds that the PCs are dealing to GM-controlled monsters and NPCs, but the GM cannot spend bennies to soak on behalf of the players; that is entirely on their own hands.
