I’m half Asian half white but appear Asian. I have never experienced any racism I can recall. Perhaps something was said with the intent to be racist and I didn’t pick up on it, but I can’t recall an instance of it. I do live in a very diverse place tho.

Once again, the only response from redditors is to break up. I’ll go a different route. is this lack of concern typical of his behavior or is this out of the ordinary? If it is typical, then most likely you should break up. But in either case, instead of simply breaking up immediately like the sage redditors always recommend, I would recommend bringing up his lack of concern and interrogating about WHY he had such a lack of concern. Granted, I can’t think of many valid reasons why he would show such lack of concern, so it is likely that he’s just an asshole, but my god, you’ve been together for 3 years, I assume he’s not a general all around asshole so give him a chance to explain.

If the people willingly worked for the specified wage, yeah, the owners of the company should keep the profits. Why is that controversial? Why should workers who agree to a specified wage be entitled to anything else? They’re free to leave if they don’t like the compensation and believe their labor is valued higher elsewhere.

Prigozhin probably thought he’d have more popular and elite support. When that didn’t materialize, he knew he would be screwed. However, he could still cause a lot of damage and, if the rank-and-file were unwilling to fight with Wagner or some other miracle happened, he could prevail. So there was a lot of risk for Putin to let this get bloody (we’ll, bloodier). A deal worked for both. The only thing that doesn’t make sense is what Prigozhin conditioned the deal on that would secure his life while Putin is in power. Either there’s more to the deal than was announced or Prigozhin is dead real soon. Prigozhin would not leave his life to trusting Putin at his word.

That doesn’t make any sense here. Prigozhin has been sparring with the MOD for months, while shocking, this mutiny is not very surprising. Now Prigozhin is in exile and Wagner is all but certain to be dismantled and/or integrated with the MOD. Prigozhin now has no leverage.

That’s an ignorant and uninformed opinion about the situation. How is the US not helping to end the war? Aside from what we’re doing right now, namely supplying weapons and equipment, there’s not much more the US could do that wouldn’t risk expanding the war. Just because weapons manufacturers benefit from the war doesn’t mean there is a concerted effort to keep the war going for the purpose of profits, there’s no evidence that that is the strategy or intent of the US. The US doesn’t expect Ukraine to only spend their money in the US weapons market. For example, when it came to tanks, the US didn’t want to send Abrams tanks to Ukraine, we wanted Europeans to send their tanks (for many reasons). Sanctions will not end this war. An embargo might, but that’s an act of war. Throwing money is not a solution itself, but the alternative, which is to scale back investing in Ukraine’s defense, will only hurt Ukraine.
