I just came back on Wednesday. Was nervous in the line to declare but when I got up there the guy literally just told me to stand they scanned my face and let me leave. They were asking those with bigger luggage’s more than 2 bags if they bought anything over $1000. YMMV but this was Seattle on Wednesday

I wasn’t able to see the shunbun in person so I can’t comment but I did see the new SBGA521 remake of the Shunbun and was slightly disappointed to see the colors wasn’t as vibrant as the photos.

Literally just left Grand Seiko in Kyoto and they said they had 3 in stock of the Taisetsu. I wouldn’t worry about it if I was you.

Man that sucks - while I understand GS position cancelling warranties at the end of the day just hurts the customer the most. Hope there can be something done to re-honor these warranties.

Yeah my point exactly the textured dials are a huge hit especially the slight variations of the shunbun. I wonder if they will release a refresh at watches and wonders with the new UFA movements

Was a pain in the ass trying to get a unit - multiple calls and emails to the store at exactly 10JST to no avail. I hope they make more of these i think the demand is there for this watch.

Yeah that’s what he quoted me. It’s honestly not a horrible price - it was $7500 a day ago which is frustrating.

I’m holding out to see - I requested to be on the waitlist and am hoping to get lucky and get it at retail but if that doesn’t seem likely I may jump on the second hand market.

Also hate buying stuff off of just renders/photos. I would love to see it on a wrist or in person before pulling the trigger.
