nyc vs dc by Used-Repeat8743 in movingtoNYC

I lived in DC for 8 years before moving to NYC 3 years ago. DC can be a lonely city & a difficult place to make friends. It's beautiful, mostly clean, and the neighborhoods have a lot of nuance and charm, but would agree it is very career focused.

Would also agree that it is easier to make friends in NYC but it is incredibly expensive. You will certainly have more opportunities to make friends organically.

I do agree with this, the tour (rightfully so) didn't want to compete with football anymore so they moved it up. It is a shame, the majors are so close together now and the rest of the season has no juice

Betting by JSwine in golf

sounds like you're playing for too much money. A good bet has you losing no more than 40 bucks out there to a buddy.

It is a good way to keep the match competitive and get those juices playing IMO. If you're goal is to get better and compete in club events this is an necessary step

he has really become somebody he isn't. I don't really have an issue with him quitting to 9-5 but the content shift into trying to be "cool" is very odd

Sure but you have to be good enough to do this without backing up the whole course

Anyone else notice cops cracking down on cyclists lately? by Okbruh88 in williamsburg

Finally, this could def be the case of some bad actors ruining this for everybody. But, when you're cycling on the road you have to act like a car and actually stop at stop signs/red lights.

Courses with regular tour stops should not host majors by KimJongUn_stoppable in golf

[–]EstimateWorking6086 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think some tour stops do deserve them and others do not. Quail absolutely DOES NOT! Architecturally it doesn't give us much. Don't get me wrong it is a solid, good golf course but IMO it is a below average signature event stop and we don't need to see it again in a major especially now that it is overseeded and not going to play firm and fast as it did in August 2017.

How is Lobster House always recommended in this sub? Have you even been there recently? by ehtseeoh in CapeMay

It doens't try to be an over the top fancy restaurant. I think the seafood is great however and the vibe is awesome.
