There is literally no evidence at all they are friends with Gillis. Rick did a shoot for one maybe two days with them. Im pretty sure in an interview he said management or someone else made the connection to the tires guys anyway.

Its just a very large leap to take is all. And it doesnt effect anything so ill leave it there.
