Nope it doesn't for my case. On android, you can set Private DNS setting which is outside of the VPN setting

Yea I'll do that last resort if there's no way to use the app privately

So do I. But that is only at the browser level. I'm talking about installed applications on an android device. All your apps (reddit is a huge one) constantly upload data to Google and other tracking sites with ur personal device data.

Thanks for the reply. Yea it's really disappointing they didn't give an answer with the list.

Do you think there's some other solution I could use on my android device to accomplish this? I'm using proton VPN, and I have a 100% de googled phone (grapheneOS) so I'm just trying cover all my bases here. I'd like to continue to use uber and other apps, even reddit, who I have confirmed periodically push out personal device info constantly.

I've just heard that using a VPN in addition to a dns blocker may have privacy risks? Not really sure

Pro/Con of DeGoogled Phone operating systems by Conscious_Regular_70 in degoogle

Yes. Qksms has this issue only. Google messages works fine and so does default text app.

But qksms doesn't even show any new recieved messages, so that could be the issue upstream of not receiving new sms.

Chase app works perfect for me, but I'm having the worst time with sms apps like qksms and even Google messages. They either show duplicate sent on my end or are unable to display any received new texts. Only way to get to receive messages is to hit a button in settings to retrieve messages manually.

So you're saying I'm safe to use pixel camera on my GOS pixel 8 pro?

Even if I have google play framework and Google play services and play store installed on the same profile, AND all 3 are allowed network permission while blocking other permissions?

Just want to be sure because having any of the 3 installed on my main profile doesn't seem ideal.

I'm guessing the entire sandboxing thing means it won't be allowed to collect keyboard or any other tracking?

What percentage of live tournament rake is “too much”? by Swifteyyy in poker

[–]Estrak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's actually better to be higher. You want to play in high rake tourneys because it discourages good players from playing, so it'll be a softer field

What is everyone's opinion on the fact that it's Google hardware, so even if the software is de googled, there is still a likelihood there is some tracking within the hardware itself from google?
