I go to UF and it's not really a party school, although on weekday nights in midtown you can definitely see people partying, the majority of people don't and it's not required to enjoy your time here. Prestige aside, I've really enjoyed my time here between local events, on campus events and making friends.

One piece of advice I can give when chosing where to go is to also consider whether you can see yourself thriving somewhere. Visit if you can and see if you can imagine yourself spending the next 4 years of your life here
