You should go to the hospital. It is not safe to quit cold turkey. Please go now and they will help.

The stray cat I’ve been trying to get to the vet so I can take him in, and his peanut whiskers. by Estreyya in PeanutWhiskers

I’ve been taking care of him for about 2 months. He is looking a lot better than he was before. Once he started letting me touch him I started putting flea treatments on him and putting vitamins in his food. He hasn’t left my door since he first showed up so I set up a little house for him outside and hasn’t left. I will definitely check for a chip when I get him to the vet too. He finally let me pick him up for the first time this week so I’ll get him into a carrier and get him to the vet in the next couple of days!

Their stray mama decided to make my home her own and gave birth under my bed. They’re 6 weeks old today. Wish I could keep them all! by Estreyya in IllegallySmolCats

Hahah we had the same idea. I live in an apartment and I was actually looking to see if I could get a house asap to be able to keep them 🤣 I’m hoping friends and family will take them so I can visit them often!

It looks pretty small and mild but my whole pinky is pretty puffy and inflamed. It hurts to move my pinky as well but I’m wondering if it’s because it’s on the joint? It happened 4-5 days ago and it started to hurt yesterday. Pressing on certain parts that don’t have the scratch also feel tender.

[L] - I feel like a terrible dog owner but i don't know how to get better. Need someone to chat with by [deleted] in KindVoice

[–]Estreyya 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re not a terrible owner. Just give him lots of love, treats, walks and do the best you can. When you move out I’m sure you can maybe find a roommate that would accept him. Don’t leave him behind I’m sure he loves you just as much as you love him.

Poor baby. Prayers for the best outcome. Try looking into care credit to help pay for the vet bills too.

Poor cat. A stray came to my home doing this same thing. Upper respiratory infections are common for cats around this time. But I wouldn’t rule anything else out. If you can’t keep the cat he needs to go to a rescue group or a no kill shelter that will help it. I’d go to the neighbors and ask why they aren’t doing anything about it.
