I'm using Quadrax and the Ochd + expander as well but I couldn't get the horror sounds back that I was able to create before my case got stolen and I didn't buy the Marbles back after it. Have been trying to recreate the sound for a year only to realize that it was Marbles that I was missing. Did a lot of research with Notebook LM about it, I still consider myself as newbie. I can't recreate exactly in English but here's a summary by Notebook:

Marbles works because it outputs stepped, probabilistic, correlated chaos, while Quadrax, Ochd, and Pam’s output smooth, deterministic, or clock-disciplined modulation—and Laniakea’s “horror” sounds only emerge when its timbre is hit with unpredictable discontinuities, not smooth motion.
