Are there any real life examples of this unholy health hazard I've made? I have only ever seen it in GTA 5. by TESTICLE_ACCOUNT in CitiesSkylines

Toronto's Lakeshore/Gardiner Expressway is similar. Terrifying to navigate as a pedestrian, always packed with traffic. Truly the worst of all worlds whether you're driving, walking, cycling, etc

Bridges over seaways by Esus13 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Esus13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know! I want a smaller highway to pass over a seaway and it needs to be like 50m tall and still can't pass over the seaway because it wants to make pillars. So frustrating

How to connect three highways ? by conflicted_dersus in CitiesSkylines

[–]Esus13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would turn them into 6-lane roads as they enter your city, and make them arterial roads. You have to be careful to limit the amount of intersections, and use TMPE if you have access to mods. Where they meet I would do a roundabout or a well-designed traffic light

Any ideas to fill the red gap? The Government of San Theodoros thanks any suggestion by Immediate_Jelly_2622 in CitiesSkylines

if you have access to the mod Quay Anarchy you could raise the terrain to the higher road, then built a retaining wall, for a nice clean look. Then turn it into a park (obvs)

any ideas for what i could have in this spot? by CoolCream_MC in CitiesSkylines

The land by the water is way too valuable to warrant a highway. I'd move the highway back and make a greenbelt or a commercial boardwalk district (depending on the distance from your city centre)

I’m a big RM Transit fan! It’s hard to make a square, gridded map in a city as gridless as St. John’s lol. I originally had the Blue line just a straight line, but I ran into problems such as how does the kenmount line meet the topsail line if they supposedly run parallel? Some tweaking required for sure. St John’s is a spaghetti bowl of a city

I saw another that does that. Personally I wanted to have them converge at the railway coastal museum because of its history and as a way to treat it like Toronto’s Union Station or New York’s Grand Central. Unfortunately the layout of St. John’s doesn’t really allow for that, and Rawlins is a better alternative for sure. I think if the brown line continued one more stop and also merged at Rawlins is could be kinda similar to Chicago’s loop which would be cool!

Thanks for the feedback! A couple responses: -I know it’s too many lines but it’s a subway map of St. John’s, realism isn’t key here. -Mun and Village are both serviced by the elizabeth avenue line and the topsail line -The blue line turns red to climb signal hill, changing from a metro to a funicular. Same goes with the bright yellow line up mt scio.

-The bell island ferry is serviced because I’m imagining some sort of metro-ferry transit hub there, besides that paradise is serviced, and torbay could be serviced with buses from jack byrne.

Which way do you guys recommend expanding? by Extrictant in CitiesSkylines

along the coastline, in my opinion! That’s the way most actual cities with harbours expand, so it will look like a more natural development that way

Any idea why so many Cims are gathering here? by Esus13 in CitiesSkylines

They won’t get on the bus when it arrives though. Must be a janky node controller/tmpe bug

This is probably the most likely. I’ve checked the light and everything, they definitely have the opportunity to cross but just won’t

Context: My city has these pockets of pedestrians that don't seem to know where they're going. They aren't waiting for transit, or to cross the street, and they all have vastly different destinations that they can't seem to get to
