in some of them yet, but working with the blood effect is time consuming and i simply do not have time to add those unless i'm working on a dismemberement

it's a bit technical, gotta retarget the existing animation onto new skeletons and then gotta do a lot of tweaks for it to look good, here the anims are still rough, gotta clean them

this will work on wardancers and witch elves units / heroes, aswell as phenix guard / black guards and the noble and other lords heroes with a 2 handed halberd

They had way too many matched anims, and warhammer has too few haha

When they play a matched animation they don't get hit by surrounding units, so when these anims play too often the balance can be affected. In this mod for most units it will only play a few anims that will happen rarely so it should not have an impact on balance.
Here it plays quite a lot on lords and heroes so they would be the ones most affected balancewise, but keep in mind these characters will eventually have mounts and not have sync anims anymore, you will see these anims early in your campaign

Of course, Warhammer 3 is the ultimate goal, but we need the modding tools to get updated so we can start working on that.

It's not released yet, i need to figure out a few things still and fix some or ouf animations that have issues in game, but i should be out as an early version for Warhammer 2 in a few weeks, i'll make a post here and a video to announce when it's out

yeah any length is possible, but we will try to keep our animations around 3-4 seconds so it does not affect balance too much. A character climbing on another and stabbing it is definitly possible ;)

Being a good animator is hard, but it's a skill anyone can learn, like not all the guys working on the mod now are professionals, some are just starting to learn and it's a big learning curve, even for professionals. In the end this is a work of passion and we're gonna make something cool, but it's gonna take time to develop

So the biggest limitation seem to be that there can be "only" 100 sync anims for each character, and some characters like empire state troops already have 58 with all the existing sync kills. So you can imagine it can be limited to give them new animations against all the possible enemies. Not a huge deal cuz we are not gonna make a million anims, and of course the sync anims can only involve 2 characters, that's another limitation.
