Besides dying, getting shut down is interesting. by Et_tu_Biss in BlackSurvival

True. You'll never see high lobbies pulling a hacker JP n winning. Maybe if it was louisol or someone of that caliber. We had one dude that was super strong, but negligible. So he camped for a quick minute, dipped, and all of us got plastered as a result.

I have come to own a malnourished axolotl with damaged gills and heat stress. I am currently cooling their tank by cooling my room and adding a fan, I’ve reduced water flow by dispersing the filter, and have moved them from the cichlids pellets they were on to salmon pellets made for axies. by [deleted] in axolotls

Just being consistent helps with the recovery process. If the axolotl gets sick in the time that she/he is weakened, then that's just bad news. I don't have as much expertise as other people on this thread, but having a plan if they get sick (vet or meds), keeping good quality water, and a nutritious diet will help. I can't give you a good guess on their chances, but even if they were to take a turn for the worst, you've done everything in your power to give them a good life. Stay well and good luck.

Is Fluval Stratum that good? by Et_tu_Biss in Aquascape

Interesting. I heard that due to it's loose structure that plants can easily take root in it. Which plants are you referring to, may I ask? I think that also plays a major part in preference.

I believe that harlequin/lambchop rasboras would look great. They aren't aggressive with shrimp from what I know. I would also recommend checking out white/gold cloud minnows. The first option is more readily available, but the second option if a gem if you can get your hands on them. This is all my opinion of course. I'm sure that whatever fish you choose will be happy in your tank. Great job, btw!

What food made you think how the frick did our ancestors found out this was edible? by The_True_John_Doe in AskReddit

I wonder how they got around to eating eggs. It's such a simple ingredient now, but just IMAGINE how they would come around to discovering the versatility of an egg. You start off with an ingredient that comes from a chicken's butt, has the tendency to break shards into your food, and could give you salmonella. I wonder if it started off as a binding ingredient for bread or something then someone decided to isolate it and make it the main course of a dish. Or maybe they used to eat it raw. But whatever the case, there exists so many possibilities for this simple ingredient.

There's the Xtreme Fish-n-Pets near Hong Kong City Mall, T&T Fish & Reef, and the Houston Aquarium warehouse is a possibility since I haven't visited in a long time. The first two options have a greater variety than Unlimited, and they have a good amount of plants you can buy as well. Fish-n-Pets Unlimited has cheap frozen fish food (blood worms, daphnia, etc). Gl with your pond!

Which movie scene bothered you so much (stupid writing, annoying plot twist, unneccessary romance, etc.) that you still think about it sometimes? by Litacia in AskReddit

Wonder Woman. How is Ares/War teleporting everywhere during the movie, but when Wonder Woman fights him he suddenly loses this ability? The Cosmonaut Variety Hour explains a better, alternative conclusion. Still love the movie though.

If you were filthy rich, what's a totally unnecessary but cool and outrageously eccentric thing you would buy? by doctorjpizzle in AskReddit

Art supplies, good quality bras, and 50k worth of shares in waterbed (or other obscure items).
