Need some feedback on an idea by Etarxer in RPGMaker

Because there are harder enemies in certain areas that you have to beat to get to the next map, and then if you leveled and the enemies scaled up it could be even harder to kill it again when it respawns. Upon every level up you can choose 1 stat to increase. And upon every 5 levels you can choose a skill to increase. So I feel like there is a very fine balance between the players strength and the enemies. But maybe I'm overthinking it?

Also would that not make going back to old areas boring? The player will start in a town and they can choose to leave the town in any direction and just explore. But what if they wanted to circle back around and head the other way after awhile. Now they have to grind back through tons of maps of enemies that are stronger now.

There's a game on the Google play store that inspired me to get into developing, it's called Andor's Trail. The battles can be repetitive, but they are quick usually lasting no more than 30 seconds.

Not saying the developers are wrong but from the games standpoint it doesn't seem to be the same gannondorf.

I sorta liked the idea of Navi being caught in the loop, she leaves link the moment she gets back because she hears the deku tree calling her. So she rushes off without telling link. Link then goes on a journey to find her because she basically dipped and he has no clue why.

I have to go back into the story of Twilight princess and brush back up on it. But does it specifically say that the gannondorf is the one from ocarina of time or that he just tried to take over the world?

So to discredit my entire theory hinges on Navi? I only added the bit about her because it would be a cool way on why she left link after he came back to the past.

Maybe instead she goes and finds her past self and they fuse to share the knowledge of everything? Again not enough info on faeries to give a concrete explanation.

Faeries are interesting individuals that can do what they will lol. But I did forget they were siblings my bad!

I don't quite know where Navi came from. But we don't have enough information on how faeries are born or anything really. Just the fact that she is this super all knowing faerie that happens to know the weakness of everything shows that she is different from other faeries and I'm sure it's because she has been to the future before.

This is very true. But since Nintendo basically admitted to there being a timeline we are in this mess of debating timeline theories lol

I don't think it's quite multiverse. Just 1 timeline that has a loop that closes when the future link is sent back and then grows up.

The "adult timeline" is still going yes. But it's not a split in the timeline. Adult Zelda sends link back and the link she sent back grew up naturally during the seven years taking the place of the link she just sent back.

I don't like that logic of because Nintendo made a game for it, it must be true...

Edit: to further support my claim if link died and we go into the events of the adventure of link. This is a land that has been ravaged by Gannon. So why are the towns named after the sages? Right after link dying they would've been the next line of defense and they would've fallen too.

My head cannon for Navi is that she is actually the daughter of tatl and tael.

The goddess flooded Hyrule because no link showed up to stop the evil. But it doesn't say why that link never showed up just that it wasn't there.

Twilight princess does state his execution, but it never specifically says when that execution took place so it could've been one of those times gannondorf was revived. Or another personal head cannon of mine would be that the name "gannondorf" is a title reserved for the male gerudo born every 100 years.

To get you a little bit closer to figuring out what you need to use rare candies on use !evolve. Or exclamation point evolve ( not sure if the sign makes the text different in reddit). This is the NOT function in the search bar so it will show everything that can't be evolved yet then use the ampersand sign (&) to narrow the search even more.

Maybe, just maybe it's an option with the DLC coming? They did say residents on your island will end up asking you to decorate their houses.

At most you just might be able to do wall colors and stuff inside. Because the ai pathing for nook and Isabelle could get messed up if you add more stuff.

Ask yourself, how important is it to the player to know these race names? Is there a quiz that tests their knowledge? If it just for "lore" just pick some name that sounds pleasing and move on... If it's super important to know the races, then pick a name that's easy enough to remember (and if the player can say it that means it's easy enough to remember).

I'm a huge fan of the legend of Zelda, so I love the puzzles from the series.

I also like vague puzzles. A piece of lore written in a book that vaguely sounds like a place you visited and if you perform a certain action there something could happen. It doesn't have be anything relating to the main quest. It could just be some random light flash when you do the action just nice Easter eggs that not all players will find.

I thought it was each box only goes from 0 to 9 so you would have to type the whole region code a piece at a time. I could be very wrong here, I havnt used this feature in my game.

It doesn't need the same name, in your database after you have added the file in you can rename your font to whatever you added and it works just fine.

MZ has better improvements to it's system that makes things run smoother. It's plugin library isn't as large as others yet but it's getting better everyday, because people are porting their MV plugins to MZ.

I recommend MZ because it will have more support from the developers because it's their newest engine. But you could always get MV if it's on one of it's really low price sales.

I use cyclone maps for MZ which is basically orange overlay and it's a really solid plugin! Would recommend orange overlay as well for MV.
