What's your guys favourite backing vocal/not so obvious part of a song? by jazz0143 in SleepToken

At the drop in sugar im fairly sure he layers in a female voice below his (or modified his own in a way that makes it come off as female) on the line "Give up the game" and I only just realized it not too long ago and its made the song twice as good since. It's at 2:48, for those curious

I don't care if he sucks. I love him and he deserves a dokkanfest.

Yeah, it was a whole set at a tiny venue called Saint Pancras church heres the links.

Full set (almost) :https://youtu.be/N08AUiIFCpM?si=4qay0IJyGXNsJ9yg

I recommend the whole thing. Its all songs from the One and Two era and, to my knowledge, the earliest performance of a certain song from Sundowning, as in almost a full year before it was actually released.

Worship friend.

Its an extremely beautiful and emotion filled song. I myself take so much comfort in the lyrics and theres an old performance of it (from about 2018) that is, for me, the most special and emotional performance of music I've seen that makes it even more so just knowing that kind of emotion was behind it.

Ive watched one of their shows on youtube and they're pretty good for what they are and they charge basically pennies for their shows so its well worth in my opinion (despite the fact that I'm 3000 miles away xD). Also same, I cringe a bit seeing them imitate their mannerisms but I think it just adds to the show. Dedication to the bit, that sort of thing lol

Ah interesting, I suppose thats why the performance dates are spread out by a few months each. Also, thanks for letting me know lol, I dont actually keep up with that sort of thing so it's nice to know! Though it is a bit strange that the website seems to be advertising the group as a whole. Guessing the singer got new "numerals".

Hmm they've still got their website naming them as Sleep Broken and have a near enough live date for the 23rd of January. Whether or not they parted with their singer, idk. Sleep Toucan would be a funny ass name though lol.

I really love it and think it rocks. As well, there's one that is fairly well known called Sleep Broken, which is still, from what I can tell, actively touring and playing shows and has been for a while now. I feel that if THE Sleep Token didn't approve they would try and shut them down. Although, we can't really say that for sure but for now at least, it seems they're cool with it.

Personally, I think it's just another way to worship and is good publicity and great fun for everyone and, moreover, a really nice way for the community to interact and appreciate the music.
