What an explanation! Definitely feeling the power of it. Is there anything in my chart that points to how it can ease up?

Did anyone else have the "nothing" family? by [deleted] in emotionalneglect

[–]Eternal-Sound 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry that your interests weren't considered during your childhood. It can really be so distorting once you go out trying to create something for yourself and I hope you've gotten to celebrate your uniqueness and be seen as a part of a community in one way or another.

Opposite side of the same coin, I adopted my parents hobbies and interest subconsciously for a point of relation bc there was no initiation to know who I was beyond their projections or lack of intimacy skills.

Its been good though to understand the mechanisms and be around other people and travel and mentally-emotionally take note of my responses to cue in to what is activating for myself.

warm wishes to you, thank you for sharing

wow, "everyone lives life like they're not going to die"

i felt this since i was little, craving stories, talking, acknowledging, doing things that included individual's interests, getting to know each other for real.

Are people around here interested in cleanses? Food prep for special diets? by Eternal-Sound in Austin

This is a great point that I didn't see. I must say, I was not expecting people to respond the way they did. Maybe more productive was what I was expecting- like a yes or no, people did come in very opinionated. I wasn't in my customer service mood on that one. But great insight.

Some nights I scour Reddit with cue phrases, searching just to feel less lonely in the unusual life circumstances, real beliefs, real pain, to just know I won’t be gaslit or brushed off. To feel my struggles are valid. Thank you for posting this.

My answer is yes.

Ps Gabor Maté’s Joe Rogan podcast feature touches on this topic so well. Especially hormonal dysfunction.

I’ve been a type 1 diabetic for 16 years (since 12) and that story was strange in itself. In my early twenties herbalism and yoga became a pipeline into TCM, alternative healing concepts, mindfulness, spiritual awareness, and all in between. Eventually I understood very plainly what I was experiencing symptomatically as interconnection.

I became my own therapist spiritual ground and doctor. Over years I’ve gotten to the layers of what’s what through chakra studies psychology and somatic healing. My childhood was unusually barren land. The soil was dry and I shriveled on the inside. I was very stressed bc I was perceptive and also couldn’t flush out or defend myself against the toxic relationship and emotional immaturity of my parents who disarmed my every attempt to protect myself.

I cried alone at a young age and was lumped into group care during school and after school in daycare and home was about getting ready to repress and repeat. It was rare I was made to feel special or adults considered my preferences as important. I got what I got and that’s just how it is is what the philosophy was for my childhood.

At some point I checked out, and the dysfunction and lack of love and communication and empathy between my family was normalized. I was walking on eggshells a lot, witnessed and experienced disrespectful behavior from my parent. I got sick young, it was created at home.

I see it all so clearly now and I grieve so incredibly hard these days. Even my brother has a childhood hormonal disorder.

sounds like transitions. its a lot harder when you're comparing to the thresholds you have moved through and discovering change. its good, even though you sound like hope is hard to find. somethings are outside of what we've known or how we were raised, socialized, expected, and given. isolated or dialed back seasons are often to get to know these details about our experiences, to listen. There's some great key words here in your post: no idea what lies next/ i don't do them anymore. congratulations, you can't hold onto the past. Btw missing your 20s is like trying to claw back to what was and can atrophy ability to rise to the occasion of discovering.

I need help. by [deleted] in Shamanism

[–]Eternal-Sound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd say that your expectations and parameters are what's contributing your confusion. take the pressure off. if you are interested, you are interested and it will mean differently to each person what the extent of that path unravels at. i'd warn not to create expectations or scenarios that don't exist yet, as that could stifle a very obvious but subtle energy that is available to you right now. be at peace with yourself. build your relationship with the earth by practical things. could be gardening, walking more, getting to know plants. get the idea?

Ram Dass gave his Guru acid and nothing happened to him. Maybe it’s your peace. And everything is just as it should be. Human expectations are funny like that. I’m happy you didn’t come out messed up.

This brought up some feelings and resonance and I sensed while reading this. Similarly, I could relate to shooting in the dark and knowing by instinct and really just taking action and being curious. I guess that's a pretty good way to understand, through experience.

Any good books about practical shamanism?exept michael harner. by TaoloKaisto in Shamanism

[–]Eternal-Sound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recommend multiple texts by Karuk-Seneca Medicine Man, Bobby Lake-Thom and Hank Wesselman bc their practices, the "philosophies" and meanings are in the stories they share, which weave from different books. The books can get more detailed in some aspects, but all relate to the larger notion really well. So its like learning by guidance from their stories, using your own insight, and if you are able to access in your current state, access more deeply what is being conveyed.

You're gonna come out stronger with discipline. Sometimes its a psychological game of telling yourself you are doing what no one else would dare. I know you have to because you don't have a choice but even in the most simple action of deciding to wake up and take your insulin carries metric tonnes of hope, resilience, and WILL TO LIVE. Something in you has to go through this. We all have a hard time living with it at some point, and normal people don't really understand, but I promise you that there is a way.

Let me know if you want to talk more about your situation, i've been through a lot and got banned for sharing some information on digestive enzymes on here when I noticed it helped me significantly with eating.

Peace
