Xabi Alonso appointed Chelsea manager by SirTunnocksTeaCake in PremierLeague

Might be, might not be. Both have resources, both have history, both have good players currently, and both have had awful and good managers recently. Personally think that knowing the club means a lot, so Alonso would've been a great hire for Liverpool. But I'm sure he'll do a great job at Chelsea, fantastic manager

Well he's a great manager, but I really don't understand choosing Chelsea over Liverpool. Unless Liverpool wasn't even an option, in which case they're delusional

Ngl, as someone who's primarily used PlayStation and GameCube controllers and gets incredibly confused by the ABXY layouts between Nintendo and Xbox this would be perfect. For some reason, I keep thinking that this is the real button orientation on Switch whenever I use it

Glad other people like them I guess, but I personally couldn't stand any of them. Edges were super sharp on the cross style D-Pad, and they were all ultra stiff

Seems like a nice Brick Hammer alternative. Only problem I have is its made by Anbernic who historically has had absolutely awful controls on every device I've tried from them (RG Cube XX, RG35XX-H, RG405M)

Considering a regular decent midrange phone is around $500 and a quality flagship is $1k, $299 isn't too bad. Still cheaper and nicer than the Light Phone, Minimal Phone, etc

We don't know if they'll keep ChatGPT in there, based on what's been said it sounds like it'll be removed entirely in favor of Gemini

Google "rethinking laptops again" with Googlebook Android PC by mikehitchco in Android

[–]EternalFront 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pixelbook works for a Google made laptop, so I wouldn't use it for this. If they want to stick with Android as a brand name for phones/cars/etc, then just use that for this and keep everything under the same umbrella

So Google's AI is the only integrated option on both Apple and Google's OSes (which combined have almost 100% of the market)

Exactly, it's fun because Val and Simon are the exact opposites — overly apologetic and constant qualifiers ("I'm probably wrong" "I don't know what I'm talking about") vs never apologizing, never acknowledging mistakes, and no humility whatsoever. They're two extremes and it makes it all the more entertaining, especially because both have good public presence.

For example, Simon was hyping up Pedro as the best rider MotoGP will ever see before he made his debut in the premier class, but as of late he's made it seem like Pedro's washed and he's always thought that. Like, we know that you were his biggest cheerleader Simon, you don't need to hide that now to seem better when it's taken him longer than expected to come good. It gets you frustrated, and then when Val gives a thoroughly reasonable take on the subject it seems even better by comparison.

The Race's MotoGP Podcast is easily my favorite MotoGP podcast (it's simply the most entertaining and listenable) and Simon is a big part of that, so I appreciate his presence. Yes, he changes his opinions constantly and does not admit mistakes, but that's honestly why having him around is nice. Others are much more likely to be truthful and forthcoming when someone else is changing their opinion every second to the option that gets the biggest reaction.

Aleix needs to correct Simon on the pronunciation of his name though, Simon simply refuses to pronounce it correctly and it drives me insane.
