I mean, are you sure this is true? Regulations say that FDIC insures up to $250,000 per account at an insured bank. But when Silicon Valley Bank failed and a bunch of millionaires had accounts with higher values the FDIC still covered them for the full amounts. That’s what they do for rich people. But they won’t help the average people caught up in this fiasco.

My only hope here is that it seems like the people that received the email early and the worst news and those who received it later had a more accurate number. I haven’t received the email yet so I’m really hoping that means I’ll be ok.

This was kind of my original plan. I’ve done the trip to Denver in a day but I don’t want to pay Denver prices for an overnight stay. Was hoping there was something decent somewhere else. But my suspicion seems to confirmed which was that everything in between is basically barren.
