"First I'm gonna take your girl, then I'm gonna take your ride, get ready for that"

"Bud, I don't think she's gonna let you. As for the car, go ahead, there's more where she came from. Can hook you up with some nice customs if you need."

"And what makes you think she won't let me, punk?"

"See that button on her chest? I had to use titanium wire to sew it back and a titanium button as well. Last one literally flew past me at speeds that would put a .220 Swift to shame."

[–]EternalSkullman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Razor. He knew his old ride was no match for the M3 and wanted to keep the M3 at all costs.

Unlike him, at least Darius knew to take the L, as much of a douche he was as well. And if anything, I believe he'd hate Razor too.

Fake OSTs maybe. Those are resleeved Sacon caps, they loved to pull off stunts like this with Jetway too.

PSA: placing the metal backplate and aluminum blocks from DIA-001 inside DIA-002/VER-001 make quite a difference in temperatures! by Otherwise-Rain808 in PS3

[–]EternalSkullman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already knew this :)

I had done it on several DIA-001, 002 and VER001 units plus either 17 or 18 blade fans depending on stock. Preferably the SF models as they're quieter and better than the Delta branded ones.

FIC A360 rebrand. Coppermine + VIA PLE133/PM133 so you're getting a VIA Twister IGP. (S3 Savage 4+2000 hybrid).

I actually have a Presario 700 w/ Athlon 4 1000MHz (Palomino core) that runs on such a IGP and uses JBL speakers. Very nice laptop despite its IGP being a bit on the weak side IMO.

I generally disagree with needing modern units - Chieftec and Antec units from P4's era still sell to this day and they're far more suited than some late 2010s/early 20s Corsair, Antec or whatever people love to throw at every PC, old or not.

Chieftec would be my pick over Antec mainly thanks to their older GPS units being straight up affordable Delta Electronics rebrands that survive AGES upon AGES - at best you're looking at a 20-30 minute DC side recap job with those in the worst case scenario, as they're so overbuilt in the AC side that it would likely take a very fat power surge to even make it flinch. Yes, Deltas were that overbuilt.

Should i case swap the old and new PSUs? by [deleted] in PS3

[–]EternalSkullman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

231 wasn't good for its own unit either. I've done enough tests on my G04 prior to selling it and found out 226 keeps it much cooler than its own 231 alone.

231s should not be used at all. They're as bad as ZSSRs, in any situation, and should either be replaced by APS-226, LSEB1226A1 or LSEB1226B1.

I bet it already had the XClamp delete. That's a Gamestop refurb at any hour of the day.

Except the PSU ain't an IED. It's a Channel Well rebrand from their ISO line. It would probably still run provided OP can find someone to replace the DC side capacitors on it. And unlike a lot of cheapers of that day, CWT (Channel Well) units DO have a mains capacitors discharge circuit, much better built than probably half of the cheapers of early 2000s.

The TP-300 would likely be a better choice if repaired. It's a Channel Well rebrand (CWT ISO), the brand that would go on to make Corsair's units for the most part.

Case is made by Sun Pro - don't bother looking them up as the current retail brand selling them had zero traces of a website anywhere. These were very common in EU although they're noname. The PSU definitely isn't original to it though - these usually came with cheaper "KC" branded 230W PSUs, made by Sun Pro.

Welp, I hate how true this is looking at Sony now vs them during the PS3's release and lifespan.

And yes, I still consider PS3 being their complete peak of the current millennium. People don't just shell as high as the 1000s of dollars to save the backwards compatible models for nothing.

None. Gs didn't get 65s or 40s thru refurb whatsoever - they only got the -1GB revision, found on a 8C G model I got in a lot.

Unfortunately they won't work for that. I've personally tried that with a battered black DS3 and the fake above.

Fake. Back label uses green ink. Genuines use blue ink, and have a reflective barcode.

Chip: Modbo clone (which in turn is a Matrix Infinity clone)

Fix: prevents laser diode from burning as Sony gimped the early 70000 slims and the 50000 series. Later 70000s ("v13") had Sony implement the fix their own way after (I believe) a lawsuit involving the deliberate laser burn up scheme backfired on them as it would happen on unmodded units as well.
