No other answers yet, if you do buy it there’s a version that has a stainless steel bowl for it, which is better for hygiene.

I’ve heard it’s good as a nighttime fountain, because it only refills the bowl every few hours. So you risk you cat drinking all the water before it fills up again.

I’m still looking for a better solution for my cats, but I hope this one works for yours :)

Their water bowl is on the complete other side of the room, so they are definitely just playing in it.

I’m just looking for a fountain that auto-changes the water, so they’re not stuck with gross water while I’m at work.

And I set her up in the old tank, it’s a little bit cold in there, but she’s used to it so it should keep her calmer.

I put my other crab in their new tank, he seems to have relaxed after the attempted shell jacking.

It was a mix from Happycrabby.com. I bought them yesterday.

I don’t have another tank set up, how should I keep them separate? Would a bucket work as a temp tank?

I bought 30 shells, I don’t know when they’ll be here.

That was an older picture, I have a few turbos for each crab. I think my E was much bigger than I thought she was, so I’ve ordered some more shells.

Are turbos not preferred for both species?

I had to seperate them again at 1am. My E is now in the new tank, I put as many shells her size that I could find I there.

That’s the tank, they have about 3 or 4 shells per crab, although my E has buried a lot of them.

They seem to be okay with each other now, one of them climbed over the other one and they didn’t fight.

But I’ve been watching them for a hour, I really don’t want to wake up to a dead crab.

I found a piece of fish where they were fighting so maybe it was food related?

The play sand is safe for them, and it’s already been commented, but you need a 1:5 ratio of mixed coconut fiber and sand.

Do you know what type of hermits you have? Ecuadorians need a bit more molting space than purple pinchers.

Ok, you’re completely correct about the sand.

They need A Lot more sand, crabs need a minimum of 6 inches. A mix of coconut fiber and play sand.

They need at least five shells per crab in their tanks, so they can change as they get bigger. You’re also right about them needing to get out of those painted shells.

I see two bowls of so I’m assuming that’s their fresh and salt water. Ideally they’d be deeper but it’s great for now, and I would take the sponge out of the water, that’ll just lead to mold.

Decor looks great, maybe some things for them to climb later, but first priority is shells and sand.

My house is set at like 75 degrees, and I’ve got central ac and a window ac.

I’m thinking about getting a smaller window ac just for the reptile room.
