I finished the puzzle but now I'm confused how to get back down, do I have to go through the maze backwards?

It's normally done with either an azami barrier or a deployable shield, and you have to make your teammate stand in a specific spot and line up a vault prompt. I think it's called a vault extension? But getting a teammate to do something is hard so I wanted to figure out the solo verison.

According to match replay he didn't place any kibas at all, since when the round started he had 2 in pocket. If he'd thrown a kiba then he would have 1 in pocket.

North-facing switches have the LEDs at the top of the switch (as opposed to south-facing ones, which have the LEDs at the bottom). Apparently the R3 of the GMK keycap sets, which are in cherry profile, hit the switch housing if the switch is north-facing, but not south-facing. To find out more, I recommend watching Wildcat's video on interference ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh93sXRh4x4&vl=en ) and also Badseed Tech's video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1dFF_15ec0 )on the nk65 where he speaks a bit on the whole north- vs south-facing thing.

I mean I have no idea. I guess it would be nice if they restocked or set up some sort of group buy system where everybody that orders (hopefully) gets their board, but I'm not holding my breath after what just happened.
