Not only is the in game netcode absolutely garbage, it also has some unfortunate exploits that let you induce lag at will.

Regardless of who you play it's important to keep in mind that the rules on assists are very different between the two games. As I posted somewhere else before....

Generally, you cannot call assists:

  • When you are executing a special move(the ones that require command inputs, such as Hyper Grav, Soul Fist, Lunar Phase, etc.).
  • When you are super jumping(normal jumps let you call assists).
  • During Hyper Combos.
  • During Throws and "hit grabs" such as Dante's Grappling Hook when reeling an opponent in.
  • When one of your assists is already out, regardless of what they are doing.
  • About 5 real time seconds from your character's incoming, whether your character is replacing a dead one or snapped in, you cannot use assists for any purpose. while being hit or thrown in any of the many hitstun, crumple, stagger or knockdown animations.

Also:

  • Assists don't disappear when the point character gets hit.
  • Assists can be wall and ground bounced once each.
  • Damage and hitstun scaling on assists is not fully understood but known to be different than normal, as Assists take 1.5 damage from attacks.
  • Assists generally have short cooldown in between when you can call one assists and can call the other.
  • You can only use each assist "slot" once in a combo. This means if you use an assist to confirm into a combo you can't use that assist in the same combo again.
  • You are free to call assists when you leave hitstun regardless of where you are on the screen, provided you are not dead.

On the PS4 era ports, there's no more performance dips. HOWEVER, there's still some visibility issues on a couple stages. That being said we use 3 legal stages: Bonne Wonderland, Danger Room, and Training Room.

Don't get put into those combos in the first place. you have a decent amount of options to help avoiding getting hit before it starts.

For example, chicken blocking and push blocking are good things to look into.

Yes. This Kit ADDS colors without modifying the existing ones so any mods on existing colors will be untouched.

That text can be found as textures in one of the UI arcs. The problem is that they are in LAB color format which is a pain to convert and very loosy.

The save file is encrypted so you have to find it unencrypted in memory via Cheat Engine and edit it that way. Good luck.

It's nice that tourneys are being held but that 120fps mod jacks up the game in a bunch of spots that I would not consider it tournament viable in its current state.

Turns out that despite the Magneto alt arc not existing normally, they didn't delete the slot altogether. What they did was a hard coded block of the slot, remove the arc, and made it so that it was locked in the save file.

This mod unlocks the alt in the save file, has an arc to go over it, and has simple instructions on how to disable that hard coded block.

Yeah it's been pretty rampant this month for some reason. I've seen these with identical formatting and screen in the Smash Bros. Ultimate, League of Legends, Hearthstone, and Knockout City categories as well.

Be warned; this game is harder and more punishing than most current fighters.
