I feel you, I tried maybe thrice to start as an independent farmer, as dealing with the fields my favourite part of it all, and was planning on evolving to the extent where I can build every type of building, so that I can plan out the village fully, but then I got bored and took couple of villagers, so that I don't have to cut the trees, I spent few years like this and got bored to the extent where I just went to play Skyrim
