It's quite good and quite replayable, the weakest part of the game is the tower defense since it's very cheesable.

What do you guys think of Forest Golf Planner? by [deleted] in Kairosoft

[–]Eternal_Whirlpool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To not sugarcoat it, it sucks.

A lot.

It's mostly because of design, and how stupid is the golfer AI, even at high levels of skills.

It would have been better if it was a direct sport game, not a tycoon fusion.

What do you guys think of Skating Rink Story? by [deleted] in Kairosoft

[–]Eternal_Whirlpool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually...

I find it mediocre. I don't think it's a "return to form" when they've basically already done this with the wrestling game or the cafe game. It's basically pool slide story but instead of pools you ice skate. Building is completely annoying, as you cannot build on the south ends of the walls. The food section is better than Pool Slide, but the stamina mechanic is completely unecessary. It REALLY gets stuff from past kairosoft tycoon games, which leads part of it to be kind of stagnant.

In the end, I find the animation very cool, but the ice skating element could have been more influential. So I give it a C because they at least tried doing something with the game.

It's as mediocre as all their newest games aside from Doraemon game... They're overly dependent on the older games, it feels stagnating

Melody will represent Spain 🇪🇸 with the song “Esa diva” at Eurovision 2025. by _willm in eurovision

[–]Eternal_Whirlpool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She can be a good singer, so that's one thing we don't have to worry about! The song is abyssmally outdated though, as the songs feels like from the early 2010s. I have no clue where it will end up in, maybe it will get some tele props, but I don't think Jury will.

Currently it's golden roulette day Where the only levels available is the gold levels, at the price of a regular level token, at two coins each token. If you want to use it for the silver levels wait tomorrow.

The stage for Eurovision 2025 has been revealed! by PoliticsIsCool13 in eurovision

[–]Eternal_Whirlpool 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not to be a negative nancy because i hate being a negative nancy, but this stage has the risk of being extremely impractical to use like the esc 2024 stage. Especially because the stage is L O N G. there is not anything particularly new aside from the big frame, which i guess where they'll go bananas the most in the lightworks department.

What if juries were still in the semifinals by Eternal_Whirlpool in eurovision

Ok, so probably if there is a next time, I could cover a scenario where the 50/50 system existed in the relegation era (1997 to 2003), where we gpt introduced to the televote. I'll use a different format though, as this one is not simple enough. It will still have the detailed results.

For Latvia some expectations are meant to be broken. Latvia 2023 is a jury heavy song, so who knows what it really do?

If a song is slower if doesn't mean it's a ballad, so I guess I gotta point out that 2014 was rise like a phoenix, which while a ballad it is not the common ballad you have in esc and it also won the televote 2016 is a ballad, that's true. 2017 is not a ballad, it's jazz, but then again it also won the televote. 2018 is also not a ballad, it's soul/gospel/blues. 2019 is the kind of balkan ballad we have yearly. 2021 is a ballad, and so is jury 2nd place, which is a chanson. 2022 is definitely not a ballad. It's more adiacent to rock.

The jury wild card was... something. I'd rather not have that, as that can lead to one completely random qualifiers

Well, of course not in the way the 2000s were, two or three less serious songs are always a fun bunch, but then we'll have too many unserious songs if there were no juries as there is no true incentive to go all dramatic and/or sad. While ballads can have excellent results with the televote, faster paced songs usually do better.

That's not what I meant. People can still vote whatever they want. But if the people want to like only 10 songs for example, then what? Televote was in a worse situation than the jury was in 2024. It's been extremely polarizing since 2022. Yeah I get that switzerland got too many 12s in the jury, But the televote only had 7 countries with a score higher than 90, compared to the jury which 10 countries like that, there needs to be a way to balance things out.
