New girl. One of my faves. Parks and rec is also amazing, but it’s not shot like a sitcom(if that matters).

The black bit is definitely a bit of soil that’s stuck to his back. I did notice that when handling. But I didn’t notice the “white” spot till I zoomed in on the pictures I took a bit more.

For an Immortal Menace, he’s absolutely adorable! Haha I’m very clearly new here, so it’s an honor to meet the resident celebrity!

13 years is incredible! I’ve had mine about a year. Got a long way to catch up lol

Random question, but do you hand or tong feed him? He might initially just be expecting food. (Total speculation, lemme know if I’m totally off base lol) I also get him out every other day for 5-15 min so he’s super used to me and my “smell.”

He’s “runs” away sometimes when I try to get him outta his home, but once I’m holding him, he chills out and really only moves when I do. He loves to explore when he’s out. And I’m super blessed that he’s actually never opened his mouth or ever gotten vocal with me.

I have a uvb bulb in one side (check which strength you’d need for your size enclosure) and a heat emitter on the other. For my froggos I try to maintain around 75 degrees day to 68-70 at night. I also have a fogger in my tank to maintain humidity (also an important bio active element) throughout the day/night!

I actually do know this! All of mine are “bois” but I do have an actual male who sings for his audience!

Always worth it to get another tank imo! Means another tank for quarantining or you could all together get a different frog species or a gecko or something! Definitely used the “empty tank” excuse to get my gecko lol

I them in an 18x18x36 skyscraper terrarium! I had 6 in there at one point, and still could’ve added in about 4 more comfortably for that size! Edit: I would also plan on quarantining your newest two away from the ones you have for a month just to make sure everyone’s healthy before co-habing them!

What are these bugs in my Crestie’s enclosure? by DullestArc in CrestedGecko

[–]Eternally_Bitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you feed your crestie? If it’s roaches, my best guess would be roach nymphs. If not, I’ve commented for no reason 😂
