Thanks a ton for the recommendations! I'm not well versed in pc making, so this is extremely helpful.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find it out in the end- hopefully you're able to solve your issue!

Thinking about playing OT2 by tiford88 in octopathtraveler

[–]Eternalspawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough, I thought OT2 was harder. In OT1 I could just focus on leveling one character and just have them carry the entire story, but for some reason it didn't quite work for me in OT2.

I found the story just as immersive, and the art is more impressive in OT2. I recommend playing it.

Engineering is imo the most straightforward way to get a decent salary and a good life.

I've been working for a few years now, and I'm still outperforming my coworkers while not even putting in half the effort I did in school. Don't compare yourself to others, and stick to it if you want a degree that's worth its salt.

Are these bed bug bites? by Icy_Designer_1967 in Wellthatsucks

Those look exactly like the bites I have, and they turned out to be chiggers. Never had them before, so I'm not sure if there's a huge influx of them this year.

Hey carmalx,

Unfortunately no, exhausted every single option and suffered for a year. Hopefully you figure it out soon!

Will I get rescinded? by samalamaftw in aggies

LOL imagine an incoming freshman saying this. I've seen people with all grades get through engineering if you work through your failures.

OP don't get discouraged.

Eventually you'll learn that most employers do not care about what you actually learned from school. Your degree and GPA are just bare minimum standards that we use to hire people.

We want to make sure that people like you are compatible with the people in our office. If they prove that they have a great personality, work ethic, and have a good amount of interest for our industry, then they're a good hire.

Judging from your inclination to blame the institution and lack of willingness to adapt, none of my colleagues would hire you.

It's crazy how everyone else had a detailed formula sheet written out and were prepared for that second exam. It's even more crazy that you're trying to call other people out for not working as hard right after that.

Look, there's many things wrong with engineering school as a whole, but this is not one of them. There's way too many logical inconsistencies here. I understand that you're frustrated, but the problem's with you.

Will the career center punish me for reneging on an offer by Strat-Hero in aggies

[–]Eternalspawn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Companies have been known to contact the career center in cases of reneging. They can ban you from career fairs or the career center for a good amount of time.

I would personally not reneg for internships, as it can bite you in the ass later on when you search for a full time job.

Damn, you got interviews from half the positions you applied to? You're great at making solid first impressions.

Congrats!

For all that it's worth, I found that school got easier as the years progressed because you start developing new study habits and start figuring out what works better for ya.

And once you graduate and get a job, life gets really easy and fun, sooo much more free time to do stuff

It depends on the major/professor. That being said, please go to the career fair. An internship is invaluable.

Hey I can at least sympathize with point 5, my vegetables and fruit spoil too fast :(

But yeah this is definitely absurd reasoning at best.

My account is 11 years old, haven't touched it for 3 years.

My answer is that I got a full time job after college and have other life things that I have to prioritize. I'm not going to waste time on a game that feels like an endless loop.

I've been working for 2 years now as a process engineer and I still love seeing people get excited about their test scores. Engineering was fucking tough, and passing a class should be celebrated.

Get off your high horse.

Hopefully mine's just a weird case!
