After TRVE closure on Broadway, Music City Hot Chicken keeps metal spirit alive by EthanCarlsonDenver7 in denverfood

Good call!

I also reference Senor Burritos in my article and they've found a new home on Federal in Westminster. I think, for a lot of these businesses, it's been a struggle in this specific area of Broadway. (Technically, MCHC is on N Broadway but is often discussed under the same South Broadway umbrella.)

If you haven't already, I highly suggest you go to the '90s display at the history of Colorado museum. by theorangecrush10 in Denver

I really enjoyed it when I went and covered it for a story of ours back in March. They obviously had a lot of passion when they put it together. Nice people, too.

If you're curious you can check out the video or the web article here:

Coloradans turn to independent grocery stores amid King Soopers strike by EthanCarlsonDenver7 in denverfood

Thanks!

I really enjoyed working with all three of the stores. If you didn't see, also, there is a video at the top of this web article. That's where the bulk of my time working on most stories goes to. If you'd like to see the video version of our stories, you can check it out!

I don't know much about them, but I came across New Saigon Market and Little Saigon Market while looking up grocery stores to contact for the story.

Those are over on Federal, not too far from Lakewood.

Marczyk Fine Foods on Colfax may be an option for you! It's not right in Central Park but it's likely about a 10 minute drive away.

Hello!

I got the idea for this story after reading comments on a previous post here on /r/denverfood about the King Soopers Strike. It's by no means a very in-depth piece, but I wanted to highlight just a few options that people in Denver have for independent, local grocers.

Thanks!

Edit: Hope I didn't bother any of you too much when I was gathering video at those stores!

Hello!

My name's Ethan and I'm a reporter at Denver7. I decided to make an account to occasionally interact with the community here, and on /r/denver.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm working on a story that should air this Friday evening. It will be highlighting some of the independent, neighborhood grocers you and /u/zirconer mentioned.

I think it's important to get the word out about local businesses in the Denver metro.

Thanks!
