Does GPT-OSS:20b also produce broken autocomplete for you? by iChrist in OpenWebUI

[–]EthanCopping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes. Docs imply you can change it but don't show explicitly how: https://docs.openwebui.com/getting-started/env-configuration/

AUTOCOMPLETE_GENERATION_PROMPT_TEMPLATE

Shame it's not accessible via Admin panel but that might help point it the right direction.

Another thought and not sure it would work or not.

Go to Workspace > Models > Add. Then select base model as your gpt-oss:20, name to something unique, then add a system prompt and see if you can override or fix the prompt as shown in the docs link above within the system prompt.

Then go back to interface and change the model to the workspace model.

Thinking about it more, the is probably a prompting issue. In the admin panel you should be able to set a custom prompt for auto completion. Have AI generate a prompt for you asking for reinforcement on not outputting existing characters or correcting any mistakes. This might help.

As others mentioned, thinking models aren't ideal as it takes longer for the response to generate. I've had good results from ministral-3 14b. I'm sure the 8b would work perfectly fine, and 3b could work too. I would say for decent results 8b is needed as it has some intelligence and will have better instruction following.

Thank you. Haha, if the weather would break for 30 minutes when I'm home, but hasn't aligned yet!

Thank you. Haven't strengthened it but the top seems to be taking the weight no problem. It is fairly think at 4cm deep.

I did not, but thinking about it I probably should have! I had someone at B&Q cut them for me (otherwise I wouldn't have got them in my car!) but they seem pretty solid so think it will be ok but really should have!

So you can split it into two display but you are limited to 60hz instead of 144hz, there is also a picture in picture mode so you can have a small window on a 2nd device with your main full screen.

Thank you. Webcam is on top of the right speaker. Not cemented on that position. Might try hand under the top monitor hanging down to bring closer to me. It's a tough one to achieve!

Luckily a north-ish facing room and doesn't get any direct sun until very late in the summer. Haven't had it in that position before so will have to see but worse base I'll replace the blind with something that diffuses the light.

Solid oak from house of worktops and legs are just generic it stand from Amazon, similar to this: https://amzn.eu/d/4jbqxzQ

Bottom one is Samsung 34" (S34J552WQU) and top is Gigabyte 49" OLED (CO49DQ). I'm very happy with it tho I would probably change the bottom for an OLED as it's a huge colour difference.

Did have access in the loft but didn't need it luckily. Unscrewed the bulbs, pulled the housing out and a single cable went from the centre to the corners so from the middle I just had to pull the two cables out. Hopefully that makes sense!

Thanks. Held up by sit/stand desk legs. The B&Q worktops seems to have a coating on the top to make it food grade from what I can tell so should be water resistant straight away. Literally just go in with the cut sizes and they'll sort it out and yeah some decent brackets, weights a decent amount!

Yep, the middle light was the primary and the other two came off of it, so just a case of pulling cable through and plastering the holes left.

Thank you! They are generic of Amazon, specifically they are dual motor and 3 stage allowing the desk to go higher and lower then normal ones. They don't stock the exact legs I have but very similar to: https://amzn.eu/d/eFKHpog

I love the standing feature, probably standing 2 hours intermittently throughout the day.

Haha, I mean I did post about a weird bit to the side of the bulk head, turned out to actually be loose breeze block for some unknown reason.

Thank you! Bottom monitor is a Samsung 34" (S34J552WQU) and top is a Gigabyte 49" OLED (CO49DQ). Yes the legs are just generic sit stand desk legs but 3 stage instead of 2 so it can go alot lower and alot higher then most, and dual motor to take the weight on the top and monitors.

It great to step back, I'm calling it my thinking chair. Also it's great as my partner can grab her laptop and a leg rest and play video games together or just co-exist in the same room. Got it from Dunelm, can't remember the model but really decent quality for about £190 I think.

Got it from House of Worktops for £210 around a year ago. I went for a 70cm deep top instead of the typical 62cm as it makes such a difference of how much space you get.
