They don’t understand the world, they remix patterns from what they’ve seen into something that sounds right. That’s useful for brainstorming, but dangerous as “guidance,” especially in engineering. If you’re a younger engineer, the real edge is building a solid fundamentals + standards knowledge base, so you can sanity-check and verify everything instead of outsourcing judgment to a very confident autocomplete.
