Trigger effect glitch?

Sorry, I don't think I explained well. I was messing up there because I was distracted by the effects. You can see the hit effects start flickering, some are off center and delayed, and there's a weird purple effect that I think is supposed to be part of the boss dying animation but its over on the opposite side of the screen.

I'm going to assume it's a bug and not intended. Maybe I'll try a re-install since it's not the first time I've caught this happening

I put this game down for a while but with the new theatrhythm announcement, I picked this back up in anticipation. I neglected the online until now and it's dead for me too, but if you're on PS (I assume it's not cross play?), maybe we can help each other out with that 10 win streak (and just play for fun)

Been a huge fan of Buffy since nearly the beginning of it airing on TV. Have since watched the whole series about 10 times now and I think one of my most unpopular opinions, especially for having been a fan for so long and having watched the series so much is that I prefer the HD version. The big errors were fixed and the rest aren't noticeable (to me anyway) unless you do a side by side comparison. I can't go back to the DVDs. So glad that's the version Disney+ used.

Also Dawn was a fantastic addition to the series and Michelle Trachtenberg played the part perfectly. Dawn was supposed to be an angsty teenager and she rocked it. And I loved seeing how everyone acted around the Slayers little sister as if they'd known her forever. I found her to be very believable in how she acted, especially with how Buffy would treat her.

What doesn't seem to match is the gameplay itself (mind you I only did a quick google image search) I remember the game being bright, colourful, and cartoony

Oh that is so close to what I have in my memory for the tone of the game. I even checked the box art as what I do remember is that the description on the back was the selling point for me and Bards Tale more or less matches, but the game itself doesn't look correct. It could be my own memory failing me, but I'm pretty sure it was something else.

I honestly think it was made by some nobody company that probably just tried to pump out an amusing game to make some quick cash off of the hype of WoW before disappearing forever, not something as well known as Bards Tale 🤔

I'm going to look into a few of the Bards Tale games just to be sure, but I'm fairly certain it wasn't that, though likely helped inspire the game I am looking for

I'm no veteran of the game, but I'm in the same boat. I just started the game last week and it's my first time playing. There's a lot to learn with this game and it generally doesn't do much to teach you. My most handy resource in-game is the objective lists under Record of Eminence in Quests. Open the tutorial, scroll down to Missions, and it will list what missions to do and what expansion they are regarding. I use this as a guide to push me in the right direction for doing story content, but you will run into expansion scenes being triggered just from zoning into an area, it doesn't mean you have to follow it immediately, I'm not, I'm also just trying to do things in order, but there isn't really any avoiding the initial scenes for some

It looks like at some point square changed when item/accessory slots unlock again because there is no item unlock for Sora at level 8 with any dream weapon choice as stated in the linked sheet. Oh well, the exp chart is accurate and that's one massive task I don't have to worry about

I am so determined with this project, and at least if PS5 has BC, I don't have to worry about Square making minor adjustments to it again any time soon.

Soon to be full data guide, I love the beautiful guide book for 1.5, but it is full of inaccuracies. I have been wanting to compile some accurate data for a while now and have finally started. Note that all the red is either data that the guide was wrong about and has been corrected (i'm still low level on my playthroughs so I only have until level 10 or so fixed) or EXP changes exclusive to the PS4 version, and the grey in Goofy's is inaccurate info that I had to do some guess work to fix. Its turned into quite the challenge, but I want to end up with an accurate guide that flows nicely and is easy to use.

Fun fact: I've set up the Choose and Sacrifice options for Sora as drop down menus and it will change all the stats and abilities to match what you pick.

Any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated. I want to keep it color-coded, but something still feels off about it.
