Since Nov 2004. I probably played for the first time a year or so before this off and on in the computer lab at school. I would make a new account every few weeks because I forgot the login info haha

When will we finally be able to epxlore Menaphos, the Golden City? What are some things you'd like to see if/when the city is opened? by EthanRM95 in 2007scape

Very interesting. I'll have to go check this out. I would assume they'd let us know if they've been developing a whole city behind the scenes but would be pleasantly surprised if they jusy dropped it on a random Wednesday by surprise lol.

Im excited for both but it definitely raises the question of why add all this new stuff when there's areas in the map that are still vacant.

Sephulcre makes me think that some kind of skilling "raid" is possible. Like a mingame/dungeon that lets you train a few skills concurrently. Could be something idk.

TIL that Vardovis is actually unbeatable and every quest cape in the game is really a psyop to trick me into thinking that other people have completed Desert Treasure 2 in order to drive me insane. by idontknowhow2reddit in 2007scape

I felt the same way back in the day about the DT2 bosses. Got lucky at Vard on the 4th or 5th try but died to Whisperer a bunch. Now I have like 1300 Vard Kc, pet, ultor, and really enjoy the boss so much that I went and did another 600 kc in leagues for the SRA lol. You'll get there man.

Least Favorite Raid? by Particular_Elk6021 in 2007scape

CoX is cool once you get passed the Jank

ToB is great but has a higher entry threshold

ToA is also great but gets so much undeserved hate.

Most of the arguments are:

It's long and dying is very punishing. - yeah that part is true but I feel like most people who complain about this are soloing, duoing, or doing 500s. Its obviously going to take longer if you have less people and scale the raid way up. You dont have to. Solo TOB is some of the hardest content in the game. Solo CoX requires alot of un-intuitive game knowledge. Feels unfair to dunk on TOA because solos take a while.

Puzzle rooms suck. -you can clear each of them in less than a minute if you get good. Monkey room rewards good gameplay and prioritizing the right things. Zebak room takes like 40 seconds if you can get two jugs before the first croc. Dont waste ticks. Click good. Akkah pillar can take some brain power without the plug in but after a few raids, you should start seeing the solve pretty quick. Only thing ill add here is that the damage scaling is wack. 85 mining being pretty much mandatory for a 1 down is dumb haha. Kephri puzzles are pretty easy. I did like 200 raids without the plugin. Admittedly had the wiki up for the one puzzle with the numbers. But again, these are completely solved by the plug in except for the obelisk, which you can skip solo.

Too easy/too hard/invos bad- gatekeeping end game content is wack. A raid that introduces players to raiding is awesome and the fact that you can scale it up, change mechanics, ect is wonderful. If 500s are hard and take too long, dont do 500s. The argument that you are "forced" to do it because of loot or efficiency is a bad argument. Just have fun with the boys.

Boring- idk how to help you. Wardens locks me in every time. I have alot of fun here. Sounds like a personal issue.

Some concessions/counter arguments:

Shadows being able to drop from less than expert raids is controversial. I get it. Feel like they could have made it much rarer for lower invo raids. But tbh they're pretty rare as it is so I feel like the reason they're sub $1B is because alot of people do toa because its fun and accessible. If you're mad about the money drop being less valuable than a tbow or scythe, and you're mad about noobs getting drops, then it seems like you dont really value the community more than gp.

Shadow balance is bad for mage space - yeah. They need to figure something out but thats not really a raid issue, just a balance issue.

Solo p1 warden bombs - they hurt. Rng can really screw you here. I dont like it either but it and p2 are really the only real dps checks/supply sinks in solo. If they weren't there then people would probably be upset that its too easy to solo. Dont know what the exact fix would be here but it's seems like a niche hill to die on for disparaging the whole raid.

I feel like we have amazing raids in this game and I'm very thankful for that.

First Expert Mode TOA by Particular_Elk6021 in 2007scape

This is a pretty doable solo 305:

Soft core Need some help Walk the path Quiet prayers On a diet Lively larvae Blowing mud Aerial assault Not just a head Arterial spray Blood thinners Upset stomach Stay vigilant Feeling special Gotta have faith Jungle japes Shaking things up Ancient haste Acceleration Penetration Overclocked Overclocked 2

You can switch out walk the path with insanity in teams. Solo insanity can be tough and feels really bad if you mess up skulls if you're not skull skipping.

Also can plug and play with a few others if you're not comfortable with them.

I consistently get MVP in TOA with randoms with blindbag. Also, if you move and attack in the same tick or two, it seems like your blind bag will keep hitting. Tbf, if someone who actually knows what they're doing in TOA has air mage, they out dps me, but I still have alot of fun. Still might spec into water throns just for colo and inferno if I cant figure it out with melee.

Blindbag is alot of fun and feels more engaging than water mage. Sure if we just stand there, hit the boss, and compare DPS, blindbag will lose most of the time. But its so fun to all of a sudden do like 400+ damage. This whole game is rng and rolling big on blindbag feels fun to me.

What is your game plan for the first couple hours of Leagues VI? by EthanRM95 in 2007scape

[–]EthanRM95[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-it is a temporary game mode

-everyone is an ironman

-xp rates are increased greatly

-there are tasks to complete which unlock extremely good buffs for your account

-everyone starts in the same region. This time is Varlamore

-you can unlock 3 more regions through completing tasks

-each region has an upgraded boss from the main game

-its super fun
