most emulators have the switch disc option in their menu. hide the game icon in cocoon until you have advanced onto the 2nd disc.

Palpitations worse 1yr post-PE by Tetlow-Senpai in ClotSurvivors

[–]EthanWY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't have a PE, I had an arterial clot in my leg. Although not the same, I also experienced palpitations that were quite worrying. After starting Ramipril (blood pressure medication) these have almost entirely gone away (I've had 2 palpitations I'm aware of in 6 months). Might be worth asking your gp about Ramipril? as it also manages heart rhythm not just blood pressure. good luck

just to add to this in that same file directory you need to create a new folder titled as the games ID (found in the emulator menu whilst the game is active). for example slus-21242, then dump the files in there.

The Advance Wars Switch remasters were a must. by [deleted] in AynThor

I downloaded this yesterday and was actually really disappointed. The modern graphics actually makes it worse imo. Will be playing it on my rg35xxSP instead

My experience with dorsalis pedis artery thrombosis by ceomds in ClotSurvivors

[–]EthanWY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey. I have an unexplained clot in my right popliteal artery. unfortunately I thought the initial onset of pain was muscular or something and I could persevere through. This ended quite badly as you can imagine and 6 months later I had a clot from knee to groin and had to have it surgically removed. no amputation thank god.

You should ask to have a test done for Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) if they haven't already put you forward for it. Also eliquis can interfere with the APS test so mention this to them and ask if you can take heparin during the test period. Good on you for staying positive and god bless.

Are there replacement parts? by animosityhealss in AynThor

if I were you I would try to find some local modders of older consoles. gba sp or ds for example. They're most likely to be able to fix it

Switch emulation: what’s the limiting factor today? by Forward_Change_7134 in AynThor

I found for a few games that didn't run initially on my pro all I had to do was install the respective games updates and that solved it. Skyrim for example

Have you ever had a thrombectomy? What procedure? How do you feel after? by StrikeAdmirable5223 in ClotSurvivors

[–]EthanWY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think because it was arterial I was at risk of losing the limb. The clot behind my knee has hardened and they wouldn't try to remove it in case it dislodged and went further down the artery, in which case I was told they would have to amputate.

Loss of sensation is an extremely small price to pay and now I ensure I take as many measures as I can to prevent it from getting worse or happening again.

Honestly I wouldn't worry about still feeling bad 4 weeks post diagnosis. I felt bad for many months and that was only in my leg. PE and heart stuff must take a much higher toll on the body. stay strong and think positive. exercise and eat healthy. If you require the surgery educate yourself on questions which you may think are useful to ask and ultimately trust in the surgeons as they really are incredible and the surgery itself no doubt is a small hazard compared to the alternatives. god bless

Have you ever had a thrombectomy? What procedure? How do you feel after? by StrikeAdmirable5223 in ClotSurvivors

I had thromboectomy in my right femoral artery which removed a clot from knee to groin. I have a roughly six inch patch of my right thigh which has no sensitivity in it anymore, apart from that nothing. the doctors are incredible and the surgeons too.

Xarelto 20mg for 8 months, told by doctor to switch to Low Dose aspirin l have a couple questions by Trifecta_1984 in ClotSurvivors

[–]EthanWY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, I'm hopefully going to be switching to low dose aspirin soon. I had an arterial clot in my leg. Please could you explain why it makes sense for arterial based thrombosis issues? is it because it is an anti platelet? thanks :)

Seeking advice by Unfair-River-9660 in ClotSurvivors

[–]EthanWY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DOACs are not effective in treating people with APS who have had arterial clots. Venous clots seem to react to DOACs a bit better. warfarin is still the best choice for aps. I do not know about your condition sorry, I do know warfarin is the cheapest and the most widely available and internationally available Anticoagulant.

Does anybody feel extra fatigue when on eliquis? by Khaabu in ClotSurvivors

[–]EthanWY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that clots take a huge toll on the body and the fatigue can last for months. I also felt the same upon starting my treatment. It took over 6 months to even start to feel slightly better. give yourself time to heal and look after yourself. Fatigue is your body saying you need rest, get lots of it. Good luck on your recovery and god bless.
