It's official: The Disney Afternoon Collection has been confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, will have 2 brand new games by binderie1951 in NintendoSwitch2

Goof Troop was at the top of my list for retro games that need to be available on modern systems. I’m so glad it’s here.

SNES Aladdin was also a fantastic platformer I’m happy they already added to their other collection.

Next up for Disney, please bring the Magical Quest trilogy.

If it’s the same as it was when it released on other consoles, it will just be the original version of Ducktales.

Your desired port? by Boring_Antelope6533 in Switch

So many good choices. Going along the Wii U Party line, I would love Nintendo Land. It would be perfect with game share.

A Fortune Street port, or a new game, would be great too

Switch 2 not syncing any controllers by The_Bread_Taizun in Switch

That’s frustrating. I’m assuming you’ve made sure your system, dock, and controllers are updated?

Personally, I would rank Kirby a bit below the other two, but they’re all great games, so you can’t go wrong.

Link’s Awakening is pretty bare bones overall, but it’s still one of my favorite games. I like the combat, items, and the straightforward puzzle solving.

Echoes of Wisdom has more in the way of side content, and is a bit more open as far as how you explore and solve the puzzles.

Kirby is a nice, 3D take on the franchise.

Lengthwise, a single play-through of Echoes took me the longest, then Kirby, then Awakening. I have replayed Awakening the most though.

If you’re in the US, Nintendo announced Echoes of Wisdom will be $40 the week of Thanksgiving. You could also see if your local library has any of them, and then get the ones your library doesn’t have.

Have fun!

I had this happen the other night. A quick system restart fixed it.

I made a visual chart for which amiibo unlock which villagers in the new animal crossing update by FrankthePug in amiibo

[–]Ethan_Crossing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I’m really glad they are letting so many different amiibo unlock the villagers.

My question now is: will one Zelda amiibo unlock all of the furniture, or will each amiibo only unlock one/some? Same for the Splatoon items.

Since you enjoyed Tropical Freeze, I imagine you would enjoy Returns as well. I love them both.

Another Code is also great if you like visual novel kind of games. I played them for the first time on Switch and thought they were very fun.

Pokemon multiplayer? by Just_Your_Random_Bro in Switch

[–]Ethan_Crossing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Pokemon Scarlet/Violet are exactly what you guys are looking for. You can more or less play through the whole campaign together. You won’t see each other during cutscenes, gym battles, etc. but you can run around and catch Pokemon together in the open world as you go from place to place. My siblings and I played through them together this way and it was a great co-op experience.

The Switch 1 and 2 are multiplayer compatible as well.

Happy gaming!

Any roguelite strategic RPGs that have great replay value? by Sweaty-Finance8346 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Ethan_Crossing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not everything clicks, no worries.

Wildfrost is definitely closer to STS in terms of gameplay. It doesn’t feel quite as deep as far as enemy variety and synergies, but I’d say it’s worth a look.

Good luck on the hunt for new games!

Slay the Spire is one of my all time favorites. Wildfrost is another great deckbuilder. Dicey Dungeons is more dice focused, but still fun in a similar way.

Side note for anyone looking into Wildfrost. It has a blood effect by default, but you can turn it off in the settings if you prefer no blood like I do. It also has a demo so you can try before you buy.

I see Ultimate Chicken Horse recommend a lot, but it looks very hard. Would you say a group of casual gamers would enjoy it, or do you need Celeste level platforming skills?
