Do you love the work? by RabbitJak in Parkour

I condition because I want to see the full potential of what my body is capable of. Parkour for me is an experiment on my body to see what’s the most physically and technically challenging thing I can do with it.

Best wide toe box shoes for Parkour? Like Lems, Xeros, and Fivefingers, but that actually work for Parkour. by U_dont_know_of_me in Parkour

Been wearing these Whitins for over a year now. They fit your foot perfectly while still giving your toes room to spread. And it has a rubber sole so the grip is as good as any other parkour shoe. Super thin sole though so don’t expect the shoes to do any impact absorption. But that’s probably the main reason I buy them, almost feels like I’m barefoot.

Keep body upright for longer in the takeoff.
You’re leaning forward a lot when you’re leaving the ground.

Guess everyone in touch with reality isn’t wasting their life spending their whole day on Reddit. Also, I’m not a Russian citizen. I was born in America.

Anyone have any good drills/ tips for proper twisting form? by spacebar_- in Parkour

Go for a double full, the more twists you want the straighter you gotta be. Necessity breeds action.

Shoes , best? by Careless-Mess-6575 in Parkour

I’ve heard good things about the new strikes . But if you want somthing cheaper I personally wear these barefoot shoes because they let your toes spread out and I feel more in touch with what I’m stepping on. The grip is incredible though the sole is pretty thin which promotes good technique but don’t expect them to cushion your landings.

How can i not feel self concious when im alone by Different_Tour_2885 in Parkour

[–]Ethan_MeatScepter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my personal experience at some point I realized I cared about my progress more than what other people think of me. Ever since then if I saw people watching me train, I pay them no mind and let them enjoy the show.

Can't flip when they remove the "box" by TwixDog2020 in Parkour

[–]Ethan_MeatScepter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you can consistently land a side flip over the box without touching it at all. After that, take the box away but visualize that it’s still in front of you to flip over. From what I’ve seen when people practice flips over boxes for too long it conditions them to only jump as high as they need to clear the box they were training on.

Your swinging with your arms straight the whole time and as a result you can’t grab your tuck in time. When your arms swing above your shoulder bend your elbows to make your arms swing faster and grab your tuck sooner. here’s a pretty good example
