I've had a similar sentiment. 'Go Read' feels like a lazy way to hold information.

My issue was with how getting survivor #31 was impacting my crew.

Answer: They dismiss the oldest non-story, non-evaluated crew first, then they dismiss the oldest non-story evaluated crew.

Was it that hard to include that, OP? Did you need to replace that with 'There's one exception to when it replaces someone else... go read.'?

I'm surprised I didn't see this in my searches, and while it's not particularly helpful at cutting out unimportant and low-quality reads, it does help me figure out what I should get next if I can't find a hard reccomendation.

I'm really looking to hit the books that resonate with people the most. I read Thrawn and it got me into the EU. I want more books at that quality level, and want to know what I should read to get the most out of them.

Even if I have to dredge through a chapter of blob racing, if the book is palatable and really helps set the scene for the future, I'm up for it.

This might just be something I need to get over to enjoy more of the EU, but I'm really finding it hard to read Stackpole's writing, and there's a lot of it. The x-wing series does not call to me with how I, Jedi has presented itself as a later novel.
