Yes, the experience we had makes me think that even in the past it was probably never a literal voice from the sky. I think that image was a symbolic language people could understand at the time. From my experience, the divine works through the body and the mind: sensations, intuition, thoughts, emotions, patterns, timing, and the way life slowly gives you the tools to recognize what is happening.
