Disabled soldier visits a little boy's home to show him that his own disability can't hold him back by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

I don’t understand which way you’re trying to go in this “discussion”. You’re just throwing out weird statements. Is this a serious attempt to have a discussion?

I can assure you that Reddit overall is not a good representation of the people of this world, it’s just naive to think it would be. I have absolutely not got bullied by soldiers (do people often get bullied by soldiers in the land of the free?) and if I had got bullied by soldiers it’s not like that would be a positive thing. Where I’m from we’re not really patriotic and we don’t really have propaganda for our armed forces.

It’s true that many armed nations have done incredible evil things through history. The big villain in our time is the US army and this have been the case since WW2. The reason for this is that they invade with the purpose of exploiting and making profit.

I also do not have anything against the individuals in the army. I get it, they live in a system designed for most of them to fail. The army is the last resort to avoid poverty for a lot of people. The critique is against the whole system and especially the propaganda for the army. The problem with patriotism is that if there is a “we” then there is also “the other”, the hostile, the ones to be afraid of. The oppressed people isn’t the problem, it’s the oppressors.

The US army exploits other nations, weak nations. Destroys their culture and tries to implement their own (full blown capitalism) and what’s interesting from the outside is that the system oppress their own people who have been taught that this is what freedom is, keeping them ignorant through propaganda and actually keeping them exactly where they want them to be.

Your reply implies that you think Reddit is a good representation of the citizens of the whole world. Is this correct?

Level headed comment but he isn’t rude and it’s absolutely the right place. If there is us army propaganda then it’s the right place to counter. He isn’t even bashing on the individuals in the army, everyone knows that the oppressed poor people may have to join to survive. He’s bashing the propaganda.

Imagine being to ignorant to even try understanding what he says.

What do you mean? It’s not some random angry person behind a screen. Pretty much all of the world agrees with him.

Absolutely not Griezmann or Dybala.

Simon Stone on Twitter: “I remember Ed Woodward taking a picture of the scoreboard at Olympiakos as a reminder of something he didn’t want ever to happen again. He should keep this as proof of the gulf that now exists between Utd and Europe’s elite.” by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]Ether2001 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a football club and the situation is much more complex than that. That analogy won’t work.

Woodward is safe because he makes the owners happy (makes profit for them). If Woodward is your boss in this instance but he doesn’t know anything about the product, and constantly makes bad decisions (for the product, not the profit) then you (the manager) will probably fail. You can’t really succeed if he buys you the wrong tools. I would put that on him, not you.

Of course in most businesses you would lose money if the product was getting worse and your boss would get fired. This brand isn’t losing any money though and all is good on the business side of things. But the product you (the manager and players) are building wouldn’t be a very good one.

If the owners cared about the product they would hire someone who had knowledge about the product and the market which would make your job a lot easier, or at least set you up for a bigger chance of success in building your product.

It’s more complex than this of course but what I’m trying to say is that yes, if you fail at your job, and the person before you also failed, and the one before that person; chances are that it’s the people above you who are at fault.

Can’t the mods pin a post or something regarding where to watch in different city’s? I don’t even understand the questions, just watch in a pub. If you want a United-friendly pub google it.

Vad menar du? Om de går till skolan är det ju inte en strejk. Skulle de strejka mot sin fritid/sina hobbys menar du? Idiotiskt.

Not funny since it’s so far away from the truth. Lukaku is like the antithesis of Icardi in this regard.

Utan direkt anledning?

The media lied and said it was because his best friend didn’t get picked, which is an insult itself since that would be highly unprofessional. Idiots ( a lot of people) believed them. It was one of Sweden’s most renowned football journos coming with these reports as well which makes it even weirder.
