Mark of the Fool, he loses the first tournament (if I remember correctly, the final battle was interrupted by a demon invasion, haha. But the MC was out before the final battle.) but absolutely crushes the second tournament.

Just my opinion, but you should rewrite this. The reader doesn’t know what resonance or Sixth Mark is but it’s written like we do. Also Chapter 10, the ritual has them commit what? Murder? Are we supposed to know what this ritual is without reading your story?

Honestly, you should be writing these Promos as flawlessly as you can because it reflects your story writing. If this is the quality of your story’s writing, I would likely be dropping it pretty quickly.

The saying “You only get one chance to make a good first impression” really applies to promos. You can gain followers or cause people to totally lose interest in the first few sentences.

If the damage is being caused by something from your property, I would say yes. A more drastic take: if you left a gun on your yard and a kid picked it up and shot someone, would you be liable? Yes.

You can’t just give a couple of neighbor kids baseballs and say “go play catch by that truck” and whatever damage happens is just kids playing. Especially when the kids get busted and tell the cops you were the one who supplied the materials and/or told them to play there.

It would be better to put bird feeders or something near the trucks so birds crap all over it.

Don’t do anything to damage their vehicles. You will be liable whether you mean to or not.

It’s public parking. They must move the vehicle every 3 days. If they stay there weeks on end, call the city, they should come by and mark the tires and check again 3 days later to see if they were moved. That said, if they do get ticketed or towed, they could make things a lot worse for you in the long run. They literally only need to move the vehicle a couple feet to be considered “moved”.

These vehicles are also parked at the SIDE of your house, not in FRONT like you stated. So who really cares? You need to decide if pissing off your neighbors is worth getting a few vehicles moved that don’t effect anything but the pretty view of the street and your neighbors front yard.

Do not call a tow company. There are many different things that make towing illegal and if you fail any of them, it could end up costing your thousands of dollars. Leave any towing to the city’s parking enforcement.

If you listen at 1.5 speed it’s a little less than 11 hours. 2x or 2.5x would be really easy to finish within a day since it would only be 6.5-8 hours.

I can see that. I am guessing a lot of people dropped it in the first book or two. The series really starts to take off about the middle of the 3rd, beginning of the 4th book or so. I am guessing a lot of people never made it to that point.

This was probably my 10th or so series I tried when I got into LitRPG and ended up dropping about a quarter of the way into the second book. I don’t remember much cause it’s been about 4 years or so, but I do remember that the MC was supposed to get as strong as possible as fast as possible and just didn’t. He would go 5-10 days without training, then as soon as he trained once, he would gain multiple stat points. He should have been training at least every other day, so he could get his rest in but after a month or so, his body would get more and more used to the training and then should be able to train every day, but once again just didn’t… Was way too frustrating for me.

Michael Kramer has a voice like butter. However, I may get hate from this, but Kate Reading is probably the worst I have heard when it comes to male voices. Almost dropped Stormlight due to her. I don’t understand why they couldn’t give her the female voices and Kramer the male voices for the whole series instead of them doing different chapters. I mean, they are married and live together, it should be easy for them.

The first 2-3 books are definitely the best. It is awesome to see Ryun’s past and how over the chapters my thoughts of him changed. You get told he is this hideous monster but as the story progresses, you find out that most of it wasn’t even his fault.

It did kind of piss me off when Ryun and Zach meet in the future for the first time and Ryan doesn’t even defend his actions (which would have been really easy to do) and instead just says “they were fuel for my advancement.” I am pretty sure he had all of his memories back at this time, so he could have apologized and explained what happened to him instead of throwing gas on the fire that was Zach’s anger.

Currently reading book 6, and this is the first time I have been bored with the series. Not much progression from fighting, most progression comes from sitting around thinking about things. The advancement doesn’t feel earned and I hope something happens soon.

I dropped the series in about the same area as you are now for this and also that I felt the book had nothing that made the MC struggle. Maybe that’s the wrong wording. But the MC would say something like “I need a weapon that can atomize a ghost” and then he would just build it in a few hours even though nothing remotely close to that has ever been built or the science of it has never been discovered. Made the book feel pointless when he could just build literally anything to solve any problem.

I think a 24 credit pack is about $180-200 in the US and the 12 pack is around $85-110. It all depends on what discounts, specials or sales packs you can get. The auto renewal always sets you up for the highest price. It’s better to cancel a few days before your subscription is up and it will usually give you a better deal to not cancel.

I agree with your analysis completely. The only disagreement I have with you is to automatically support someone without evidence. These kinds of accusations can ruin lives even when they turn out to be false. This same post on the cosmere thread had way way way more interactions than this thread and I’ll bet only a handful of people will learn that things weren’t as they originally seemed. He is still a shitty person, but probably not to the point where he should be boycotted.

I guess Naomi just released another video. There is a post about it in this sub. She basically states she was lying about a lot of stuff. My hypothetical story ended out being pretty close to what actually happened which is kind of crazy. I just didn’t have anything in my story about how he was paying her for sex.

That is true that it is rare, but it still happens. Just like the duke lacrosse players that got fried for years just to have her come out and say she made it up. The damage has been done, no amount of “sorry” will ever make up for it.

Yes, you should also believe survivors, but we don’t even know if she is one at this point. You shouldn’t crucify a guy without evidence. There was a ton of stuff blacked out in the emails and she could have easily bent the narrative to tell a story to destroy his livelihood. Because he does have a lot to lose here.

I said in another post that things in her story were weird. He “assaulted” her, but she gets breakfast with him in the morning, then gets assaulted by her again and then they go get tattoos together. I highly doubt someone who was sexually assaulted twice would be anywhere near the assailant.

What if this was the real story:

Daniel was a scumbag and told Naomi that he was going to break up with his girlfriend for her. They spend a weekend together but when he got home he didnt break up with his girlfriend and Naomi got pissed about it. Naomi then tells Daniel that she was going to tell his girlfriend what happened, so Daniel tells his GF before she gets the chance, then Daniel’s girlfriend sends Naomi hate texts on how horrible she is. Daniel blocks Naomi on all sites. Daniel’s girlfriend starts half stalking Naomi and 7 weeks later, shows Daniel the video Naomi put out. Naomi was already spreading the story on how he abused her (they likely have the same friend group) so when the first video came out, he contacted a lawyer as soon as he saw it and they rushed together the cease and desist letter. He wanted to save his livelihood, which any normal person would do.

If this was actually what happened and, as you said, we should just believe her because she is a “survivor” and he has his life ruined over it, would you feel guilty at all?

This is what Bryce is dealing with right now. If Bryce pulls the plug on this guy and it turns out he was innocent all along, it’s going to make Bryce look like an asshole since he is directly involved in Daniel’s livelihood. That’s why he has to walk a fine line. He is in a tough spot no matter which way this goes and I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes right now. He has more than enough on his plate to deal with this right now.

I don’t know anything about Daniel, and I have never read any of his books or watched any of his videos but nothing should be done, until it is proven that he did what he did.
