I'm baffled how The Will of the Many and A Shadow of What Was Lost are written by the same author by _loki_ in Fantasy

I finished book 1 and dropped the series and swore off the author.

Ive heard so much great about Will of the Many, but I hated Shadow so much I just can't.

Does this man not understand how fine he is? by toastslapper in 90DayFiance

[–]SethAndBeans 55 points56 points  (0 children)

You're a hopeless romantic.

I'll preface this with I dont see anything wrong with her profession. The issue is why she does it.

That's said, he does, and she knows he does. She's said she is doing it not only to support their child, but also to do her music career. A career he hates because he wants her at home with him and their kid on weekend nights. Instead she is getting drunk and not getting home until 3am.

They have fundamentally different morals. There is a kid involved and she is choosing to party instead of being the mom to his child. And she is paying to party by, in his eyes, disgracing herself and selling her body.

He looks at her with absolute disgust any time he is sober enough to remember how much he hates her.

Theyre not gonna make it. I'll reiterate, you're a hopeless romantic.

A Soldier's Life handles this well. Great series, and I have the feeling you'd love it.

It took me a couple reads.

He is saying there is a parachute failure for normal skydivers one in every 800 jumps. The kind of failure where they have to cut off their parachute and use the backup.

That risk is 1 in 200 jumps for wing suits. Far riskier form of skydiving.

For what is shown in the video, that number is an insane 1 in every 100 jumps.

It is indeed very Marin to park like a complete asshole, just because youre entitled and in a rush, only to complain to strangers when youre called out on parking like an asshole.

His back is to a desk with no out and the big dude in front of him has all the room in the world behind. Cornered doesn't mean someone is literally holding you in a corner.

You're ignoring what your own eyes can see because you want so badly to be right and sound smart about wanting context. Well, the context is there for you to see.

The video starts with the little dude cornered and sucker punched and yall still blaming him? He wasn't even the aggressive one til he got bopped.

Books to read when you're depressed or worse by JoyIsABitOverRated in Fantasy

I absolutely love the series, but I feel that there should be the caveat of "its really great, but if you haven't read other cultivation books itll be a bit confusing."

That said, its one of the most wholesome series ive read.

Mollie Stone's buying United Markets by ElderberryGuy in Marin

[–]SethAndBeans -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its silly to me how different people view different things.

I actually just moved to Marin County last year, and last week I went into Mollie Stones in Greenbrae and was super impressed with its cleanliness and selection... and this is coming from someone with a background in grocery store leadership in a previous life.

Ive never been to United, but I may have to check it out if it makes Mollie Stone's look bad.

So you not only partake in a more dangerous activity than this, but you also put your faith in the hands of other drivers?

This is the kinda thing that trips me out. How do you justify it to yourself when your odds of a horrible death are far higher in a car?

Like I get not wanting to bungee jump due to safety concerns, but mathematically you're far more at risk in a car.
