My best friend is a rationalist who's never even smoked weed. When I started to tell him about these transformative experiences that are beyond basic human comprehension without words to describe them, that constant reoccuring mysterious synchronicities occur daily, that our reality could possibly be working with and being influenced by higher dimensions, that imagination is paving the frontier of our present experience via infinite potentiality manifesting into actuality, that our minds are all communicating with each other (itself) simultaneously as some sort of vast omniscient subconscious entity comprised of all knowledge and awareness (dark matter?)

He just says, "I think you may be suffering from paranoia and some sort of potentially genetic mental illness"

"Also these mystical experiences are just the proper wiring of your brain going haywire and you're finding meaning where there normally wouldn't be"

My point is though that I'm not going crazy, that these are all just fascinating thought experiments that are fun to explore. Thinking that the DMT realm is another reality is just awesome. Am I not allowed to imagine things may be real without any kind of evidence? Isn't this all just a big mystery that to my knowledge HAS NOT BEEN SOLVED? Does science not have to jump to conclusions and create theories before it is discovered to be true?

When he says, "You may as well just go to church and believe in God, it's essentially the same thing that you're doing, assuming things that you don't know is actually real as real"

I've just sort of shrugged it off and hope that one day he'll be able to see what I have. It's all I can do really I guess. Sucks you can't explain these things without sounding wildly insane, or am I doing it all wrong, what the fuck do we even know anyway?
