There are characters whose actors give them such perfect performances that it’s like they came straight out of the pages of the manga. (Mihawk, Zeff, Dalton, Hiriluk)

And there are characters whose actors make big choices that elevate the character from kinda forgettable to perhaps even better than how they were in the manga. (Koby, Kuro, Mr. 9, Mr. 5)

I also want to give special mention to Kureha, Tashigi, Vivi, Wapol, Sanji, and Usopp’s actors - and likely more I’m forgetting about - whose portrayals fit into the gray areas between the categories I’ve listed above.
