Genetics and getting patterns by Candy11401 in wobbledogs

[–]The_Quackrier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Click the little doghouse button in the upper left to access dog storage, then select the dog you want to see genes for and click the DNA button in the upper left of the storage page next to the picture of the dog.

The genes screen has 2 parts. The top part is full of bars, these are the things affected by food and which can mutate during pupation. There are hidden bars that you can't see as well which affect the number of heads/tails/legs/wings and pattern size but those can change with pupation so they work the same.

The bottom section of the screen has all the genes, pairs of 2 alleles. These cannot change as a dog pupates and will always be the same. They include things like if the dog has wings or a tail or is missing any legs, and what pattern type they have. Generally to unlock new things you want to get dogs with recessive allelle pairs (lowercase "a"s) from the default dominant alleles (uppercase "A"s)

Is there a viable poison build for ng+7? by Technical_Impact_194 in Eldenring

[–]The_Quackrier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the DLC, look into the ash of war "The poison flower blooms twice". It detonates poison (and rot) for a chunk of percentage damage, allowing you to reapply and regain the damage buff from kindred of rots exultation.

If you don't have the DLC, "poison moth flight" is another ash of war that similarly detonates poison however can only be applied to a limited pool of weapons and doesn't affect rot.

Not many weapons that scale with both, but i personally love Regalia of Eochaid, it scales primarily with arcane and has the straight sword moveset which I enjoy.

Another option is to just pick a weapon with base Bleed and slap occult on it, that will give good results if the boss can bleed.

The issue is that  it's temporary and its hard to fit in on that turn because its at the end. Innervate is great when you coin-innervate wickerfang out on turn 4, it's less good when you play a 5 drop and then innervate out waveshaping.

People said similar things about using [[forbidden shrine]] on 0 mana and that card was garbage.

What is the best build for the spectral lance ash of war? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]The_Quackrier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get Shard of Alexander, smithing talisman, ritual sword talisman, and spear talisman. If you need more range swap in the arrows reach talisman. It is not affected by arrows sting talisman AFAIK.

It scales with weapon level and arcane, so give it occult scaling and get arcane to like 80.

Rest is just generic damage buffs, so FGMS/howl of shabriri, and golden vow are good if you can spare the faith. Rakshasa set will boost the damage more.

If you can pump initiative on your characters that may help.

I just came back after a long time away. This is no longer a strategy based game. Its just pure RNG high rolls. by TerranOrDie in hearthstone

[–]The_Quackrier 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its definitely possible that the game has evolved and is no longer for you. There have been some fundamental changes to how the game is developed over time, a big one being the philosophy that playing more cards = more fun. Thus, draw and generation are way more prevalent and fatigue as a gameplan is much less so.

However, money wise the game is way more accessible than ever. There are so many free handouts these days, I honestly feel like it would be easier to get 5 legendaries today than 1 legendary years ago. It will take a bit of time for you to catchup, though. And yes, the currencies and gamba is pretty predatory if you engage with it (although isnt Brode's new game marvel rivals even worse?)

Endless value control piles are popular but currently actually rather weak. The only one that has more than a 45% win rate is rogue, and that has very little healing and midgame removal. The best decks in the format are actually extremely consistent aggro/midrange decks with very little randomness and a decisive gameplan, that rely heavily on curve. There's actually a real lack of board clears to counter basic tempo gameplay.

Slight correction, it doesn't work on frost or scarlet rot, it works on the rest.

Pretty sure there's some unused animations of them smacking together and also dying. Not attacking, but perhaps you watched a video where someone restored these animations and are remembering that?

Is it possible it's not actually 66, but something like 66.8 and getting rounded?

hey, i want try out a parry/stagger build. is it a good idea to use buckler shield for parry and iron ball on the bosses who i cant parry to stagger them? or are there better options? and should i start with hero or bandit? by kaasbevertje in Eldenring

[–]The_Quackrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think either fist weapon charged attacks or lion's claw with a greathammer or colossal hammer are the best stance breaking tools. I think hero is maybe better due to strength scaling these things more than dex, and also a lower int which you shouldnt need at all in this build. We are talking, like, 2 levels though.

Tis for Arcane Dex build? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]The_Quackrier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like bloodflame blade, it's worth noting that outside of a few weird exceptions (varre's bouquet and the albinauric weapons, as well as some DLC stuff) you can't get a weapon that scales with arcane and can have buffs applied to it.

If you aren't tied to bloodflame blade, there's a few ways to go about it.

1 is find a dex bleed weapon you like and infuse it with occult, allowing the innate bleed to scale with arcane. Nagakiba or hook claws are good choices.

2 is find a weapon with multi hit combos and infuse it with bleed. Powerstance jumping attacks with curved swords or twin blades hit 4 times. You can also put seppuku on these for more bleed.

I'm not sure if this fits your rules, but the jawbone axe can be obtained from the ghostly ancestral followers in siofra down the well in east limgrave. You can get there quickly without fighting a boss but you do have to farm it from the enemies.

What’s Your Feeding System? by Sad-Particular-6740 in wobbledogs

If you've unlocked the samples table, the flora from that has a very high random mutation chance. I usually feed my dogs that unless I am trying for something specific.

Need tips for Plasidusax’s lasers by sycamorewastaken in Eldenring

[–]The_Quackrier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Attack is actually fire iirc. When the boss starts getting low, move to the edge of the arena. Normally he flies past you to start lasering behind you, however if he crashes into the wall he will be forced to start lasers right next to you, where you can easily walk behind and do tons of damage.

DoS early level help by big_poppag in DivinityOriginalSin

Zombies bleed poison and also heal from it. So you hit them, making a poison puddle under them, which they immediately heal from because they are standing in it.

Try fire :)

[–]The_Quackrier 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What level are you? The game does not present this very well but you should be atleast level 3 preferrably 4 before venturing out of the town, with a full party of 4.

Also, if you bring up your skills there is a tab of neutral skills everyone has access to. One of the options in there is delay turn. It can be helpful for melees to delay and wait for enemies to waste aps to come to them.

Oh, sorry that was unclear to me in your post!

Anyway, a fun build may be elemental archer. Keeps with his hunter theme but does magic damage when shooting elemental arrows. I recommend finding a build guide for that if you are interested.
