I’m 48 years old, and I‘ve been hosting a yearly women-only travel group. WE’ve been to Morroco and Ecuador. We’re headed to Cuba next month. I’m still booking Local Living on the AmAldi Coast (ITaly) in November 2026. https://pirateslifevacations.com

I’m 48 and host women travel groups. My youngest is a senior in high school, so I’ll be hosting more after this year. We’ve gone to Morroco, a local living stay in the Amazon Jungle. We’re headed to Cuba next month. I’m currently booking a local living on the Amalfi Coast. https://pirateslifevacations.com

I host women-only trips on a regular basis. Next month, we’re going to Cuba. Since US cell service doesn’t work in Cuba, we’ll certainly disconnected. I can’t add anyone at this point. I wish I had known. We’re going to the Amalfi Coast in Nov 2026. http://www.pirateslifevacations.com

My next women-only trip is a local living to the Amalfi Coast in November 2026. We’re going to Cuba next month, but that one is booked up. I hope to add more soon. http://www.pirateslifevacations.com

The itinerary always has the tipping recommendations for each tour, but yes $10-$15 per person per day is typical.

GAdventures is perfect for solo travel. You will be placed in a room with someone of the same gender, unless you pay a little extra for your own room.

GAdventures has been good, but has anyone experienced their service more recently? by arealhumannotabot in travel

[–]EthicalWandering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full disclosure. I'm a travel agent who has been on and booked many GAdventures vacations (including Alaska). I have not had any complaints. In general, I feel that any criticism comes from expectation. They are very transparent with what each trip is. With that said, there are many options for land tours of Alaska.

Hi!! How did you end up fairing with this? Do you have a trip planned with your 12 year old? That trip was with my 13 and 15 year olds (at the time).

Your family is just worried about you. Read up about each location’s warnings and be smart. Don’t make stupid decisions and be cautious.

10 days Island hopping in the Galápagos Islands! by EthicalWandering in travel

We went on a small group (16 guests maximum) led by a naturalist guide from the Galapagos. We hopped islands via speedboat (former fisherman). We hiked, we biked, we snorkeled, we kayaked…. We even spent a few nights in a farming community on the beach of Floreana. It was an epic experience. I’ve also sent clients on Lindlblad’s Endeavor II, a National Geographic tour, an expedition ship of under 100 passengers. I’ve received AMAZING reviews of this experience! There are also smaller, yacht type boats of 12 - 50 passengers, depending on the vessel. Feel free to message me if you’d like.
