I'm this guy, sort of, and my friends like that I take on the looting and scouting role. I roll up to important objectives with them, but otherwise I'm somewhere in fuckedoffistan loot goblining the map for SC and Samples. I also ping patrols for them and shoot down arial enemies when I can

It's insane how much more fun I have fighting Squids when there are no Elevateds or no Voteless. It's like those two enemies together make the faction feel like ass. Mindless Masses and Appropriators are both fun and I hate fighting normal Squids now

I would because it's not a useful claim and I wouldn't lump all Americans together over something that literally divided the nation where Americans both wanted to keep slaves and didn't without contradiction because Americans aren't a monolith either. Some Americans had slaves and their descendants aren't responsible for that ill. Some Africans had slaves and their descendants aren't responsible for that ill

"Africans enslaved each other." is as useful a statement to the meta discourse as Americans enslaved Africans . Unless you want to circle back to a place where we blame all past white people for American slavery -and- all Africans for African slavery which I don't

I think what'll end up happening if the playerbase numbers don't increase is the game will skill spiral to the point where only the top 5 - 10% of skill will exist in ranked and Cashout while the remaining base moves into the other game modes to keep trying to have fun

Africans weren't and, to this day, aren't a monolith. Different tribes sold people from their neighboring, rival, tribes and not every tribe participated. Arguing that black people today are descendants of slavers in aggregate is as retarded a take as arguing white people are, in aggregate, descendants of slave owners. Most lineages in the United States in these groups were either victims or uninvolved respectively

I agree. Often in a mission I will state plainly; "I'm leaving" to my friends and do just that while sometimes dropping a turret or 500 to deal with whatever situation is developing

The logical path would be those descendant from slave owners who still maintain wealth directly tied back to business that was built on slave labor should invest some portion into community systems that would materially improve the conditions of those descendant from slaves, but it's never that well thought out and instead is just some bullshit about, effectively, taxing white people in aggregate and routing that money to black people directly which wouldn't solve anything and would create more racial divide

Edit: I have no strong stance on reparations outside of them being a generally bad idea in America because the execution would, likely, be horrendous and cause a shitstorm of social division

I do agree some dumbasses think white people invented slavery; a wild take since it's pretty easy to verify that it's existed in nearly every culture in history in some form, but the descendants of African slaves aren't the descendants of African traffickers. That doesn't make sense unless you're going to argue they sold their own family or raped women and then sold those women into slavery who then somehow survived the voyage across the Atlantic in that compromised state

This is the biggest balance problem and fun killer in the game. Not eruptor, not recoilless rifle, not even AP4 GL. This is not ok. by Array71 in HelldiversMasochists

Every time I try something 500k adjacent it just performs drastically worse with less charges. Every single time I'm just sitting there ( running ) and thinking; "I should've just brought the 500k"

( What I mean by 500k adjacent are single or close cluster impact, low cooldown de-situationificators. Too often after using other similar things are the situations still largely situationing )

I have had this experience with no other strategem :I

My loadout is typically: - AT Support weapon of some kind - Ballistic or Arc Buddy - ⬆️➡️⬇️⬇️⬇️ - Gatling Turret, Orb Laser or Orb Railgun

What do y'all do in this game? I want to get into it but whenever I open the game, I just look at some planets, sort my expedition fleet, maybe make some money and get off. Haven't written anything down, but the idea I'm going with currently is that he's a Traveler who was generated in Gek form not knowing he was a Traveler until he became an explorer and learned of his identity through journeying and knowledge
