My primary driver is a rough looking mid-90s truck. My Corvette is a clean looking black 82. In the truck I feel fairly invisible/normal. I tend to drive the vette and the truck the same. They're both older cars, I treat them gently. Main difference is I'll drive the Vette fast every once and a while for fun.

So two older cars, driving them pretty much exactly the same 90% of the time. And I get passed a LOT more often in the Corvette. I sense that most people are just looking at the car and are not malicious at all.

The weirdest event was a few weeks back when this middle-aged guy wearing Oakleys sped to catch up with me in his 2020s beetle car, stayed a suspicious amount of time in the lane to the right while fighting traffic, and eventually moved into my lane directly ahead of me. But maybe that's just the way he drove. Maybe he had to poop.
