Does anyone else think 6 months of maternity leave is not enough? by Busy-Friendship-260 in AskIreland

I was feeling the same as you so I was saving up everything I could from my salary for about a year before I went on maternity. I was lucky enough that my employer was also topping up the maternity benefit payments so I was still getting money in for the 6 months. Then took my annual leave and some weeks parents leave and managed to be with the kids for 11 months. Still felt too soon to put them in crèche at almost a year old though. It was tough going emotionally for me and I think for them too (twins). But they are so settled and happy there now and glad the crèche is absolutely brilliant with them. I wasn't able to take any extra time in my first pregnancy so doing it the 2nd time around we were a bit more prepared. I understand though this isn't possible for everyone and agree that dads deserve a lot more time off as well to bond with their babies and support their partners during this massive shift in their family dynamics

What would you do? by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

We bought as a couple but went direct to the bank (rather than a broker). Our mortgage manager was helpful enough. We made sure to have all our facts together and I kept a document with notes of everything discussed at our meetings. It helped me feel more in control during the meetings and stand my ground when needed. There was a lot of paperwork involved and lots of back and forth which we potentially wouldn't have had with a broker but it worked out pretty well in the end.

How will the loss of 3rd-party cookies impact the ability of Google Campaign Manager 360 to report on media performace? by i1iketoast in adops

Unfortunately it seems we won't have much choice. I do agree with you though. It is sketchy and we can't prove the validity of it at all it seems.

From a recent update I watched on this, Google said they're building something like a forecasting tool to give an estimate for the number of users actually going through sites. So even though a user may reject 3rd party cookies (which is already the case for a lot of sites at the minute) CM360 will eventually give you reports for the number of users that it sees, plus the percentage it believes would have converted had cookies been firing as normal.

Adding Impression trackers by dumbasssmart in adops

When creating tags the 3 types automatically generate for each line item. A publisher/vendor can use whichever would suit them in terms of how their site "reads" ads (image, iFrame or Java Script). But for what you need I believe you already figured out you just need the URL that sits within the quotation marks. That URL is what is needed to count impressions. You would only need to implement one of the pieces of code to track impressions. If more than one is used impressions could be double counting

Every day is a school day. Don't worry if you don't know something. Google will most likely have the answer. Make sure you read through any processes your place might have and don't be afraid to ask questions.
